Zac Efron and Michelle Pfeiffer Talk Improv and Scene Crashing in New Year's Eve

Michelle Pfeiffer and Zac Efron form an unlikely duo in New Year's Eve. Michelle plays a reserved receptionist and Zac is a smooth-talking bike messenger whose paths happen to collide on the holiday, but this isn't the first time the pair have teamed up on the big screen. They also costarred in Hairspray a few years ago, and when we caught up with them at the recent press day for their latest film, Zac admitted to feeling a little nervous around Michelle back then. This time, however, he played a big role in pulling his leading lady out of her shell with a scene they improv'd at the last minute! Ashton and Lea Cause a Stir at Their New Year's Eve Premiere

Ashton Kutcher and Lea Michele got their flirt on last night at the LA premiere of New Year's Eve. She brought along her best friend Jonathan Groff as her date, but later even thanked Ashton on Twitter. Lea wrote to Ashton, "It was such an honor working with you. I cannot thank you enough."

Joining Ashton and a Valentino-clad Lea on the red carpet at Grauman's Chinese Theatre were their other costars, including Zac Efron, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Abigail Breslin. Hilary Swank, meanwhile, posed in a sequined Elie Saab gown. Katherine Heigl threw an arm around husband Josh Kelley, and Josh Duhamel accompanied wife Fergie. Sofia Vergara posed solo and looked amazing in a LBD. The cast moved on to an afterparty held at Hollywood and Highland, where Sofia tweeted that Ludacris joined in on the fun.

Reese Raves About Jen at the Women in Hollywood Event, With Barbra, Naomi, and More

The Elle Women in Hollywood Tribute, held inside LA's Four Seasons Hotel last night, brought out many A-list stars to toast honorees Jennifer Aniston, Barbra Streisand, Michelle Pfeiffer, Viola Davis, Evan Rachel Wood, Freida Pinto, Naomi Watts, Elizabeth Olsen, and DreamWorks studio head Stacey Snider. Jennifer Aniston brought boyfriend Justin Theroux along for the bash, and she looked amazing in a Kaufmanfranco dress. Elizabeth and Freida, meanwhile, picked Calvin Klein dresses for the occasion.

Many of the ladies paid tribute to legend award-winner Barbra, though Reese reserved her comments for Jennifer. Reese raved about Jennifer, saying, "You just want to get your nails done with her, and you want to make out with her at the same time. At least I do - and that's what we do sometimes on Saturdays." Reese also had time to say hi to her This Means War costar and pal, Chelsea Handler, as well as Robin Wright. Katherine Heigl made it an adorable date night with her husband, Josh Kelley, and Rachel Zoe stepped out in a long, flowy gown. We caught up with some of the ladies on the gray carpet before the event began. Naomi spoke about how amazing it was to shoot with Leonardo DiCaprio on their upcoming movie, J. Edgar, and joked that unlike some actors she's worked with, she likes him just as much as his work. Katherine Heigl admitted that she was inspired to act by Jennifer, and Michelle said she was so honored to be there - stay tuned for more later today on PopSugar Rush!

Garry Marshall's New Year's Eve Attracts Big Names

If you thought Valentine's Day lined up quite the star-studded ensemble, then wait until you see the list of growing names for its follow-up, New Year's Eve. Garry Marshall has tapped several A-listers for the ensemble romantic comedy. Glee's Lea Michele and Abigail Breslin have already signed on to the film, but now Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Hilary Swank, and Ashton Kutcher are reportedly circling parts as well.

Here's a quick breakdown of the new roles:

De Niro will play a man dying in a hospital.
Pfeiffer is a secretary with unfulfilled New Year's resolutions to tackle.
Swank will step in as a producer of the Times Square ball drop.
Kutcher is a guy who hates New Year's Eve (so I'm guessing he won't be reprising his role as the Valentine's Day's florist?).

While there's no word on Michele or Breslin's parts, my guess is Breslin will be fulfilling the film's puppy love requirement, much like Emma Roberts did in the first film.

What are your thoughts on this ensemble? I'm sure we'll be seeing more names come in as other roles are assigned, but I can't wait to see which actors get paired off as couples. Perhaps Lea and Ashton could even share some romantic screen time!

Jessica, Scarlett, and Kim Party in DC For the White House Correspondents' Dinner

The stars gathered in Washington DC on Saturday night for the White House Correspondents' Dinner, where Jay Leno served as the evening's entertainment when President Obama wasn't cracking up the crowd himself. Jessica Simpson hit the red carpet in a bright yellow dress, while Scarlett Johansson arrived from LA with her politically active twin brother, Hunter. Jessica Alba wrapped up her duties as a Tribeca Film Festival juror to go with her husband Cash Warren, and Kim Kardashian wore her mother's vintage Valentino gown after deciding to put her hair up in a bun.

After the dinner were the post-parties, with the Bloomberg/Vanity Fair bash at the French Ambassador's residence bringing out celebs like Anna Kendrick and Glee's Matthew Morrison. Joe Simpson left Jessica's side to mingle with Jeremy Renner, who was linked to Jess just a few months ago. Jessica expressed her love for Michelle Obama but didn't have much to say about her current romantic status, commenting, "I have some situations that I am feeling out." She moved on to an event sponsored by People to join Gabourey Sidibe. Sex and the City 2's Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, meanwhile, posed together, while Justin Bieber caught up with "his girlfriend" Kim. Jessica managed to avoid a run-in with her ex Tony Romo, who got a head start on the good times Friday night at an event with his girlfriend Candice Crawford and her famous brother, Chace.

If you tuned into FABTV a couple weeks ago. you knew this one was coming. "Cool Rider." Obsessed. I have a Fab crush on Stephanie Zinone - and apparently you do, too! Right on. But there's more where that came from in the camp classic Grease 2. One could argue the original is the best, but I go back and forth. The wardrobes are pretty even Steven '50s high, but the sequel was filmed in '82, so there's a slight '80s flair, via sporty sunnies and lamé luau garb. Let's agree, both are Fab - but I'd choose Michael Carrington over Danny Zuko any day . . .

There are girl crushes, and there are Fab crushes. Can you believe Stephanie Zinone was Michelle Pfeiffer's first major movie role? Not only is she a serious hottie, she also sings and dances. A star in the making. I'm in the camp of almost loving Grease 2 as much as the original. The music is awesome, and the cast is very flirty and easy on the eyes. And Michael Carrington, aka Cool Rider, makes my heart melt every time. Stephanie is the rebel of The Pink Ladies who wears pants instead of skirts and is ultra inventive - here, she turns her pink jacket inside out to reveal a tougher black leather jacket. It perfectly elevates her black v-neck sweater, tight black jeans, and black boots, as do her sleek gold jewels. Crushed.

Currently, I am obsessed with anything and everything early 1980s. My favorite styles from this era are chic, paired with a smoldering edge. Think hard-core Pat Benatar in her You Better Run video, or better yet, Michelle Pfeiffer's softer look in the 1983 classic, Scarface.

Michelle played Elvira Hancock, a drug lord's main woman, living in the violent world of illegal dealings in 1980s Miami - oh, the language and mounds and mounds of cocaine. Obviously I don't condone their shady behavior, but I have to admit, I've long-admired Elvira's sleek, shiny blond bob and tawny, blended-out makeup.
