Miley Cyrus met up with boyfriend Liam Hemsworth and a pal for lunch in LA yesterday. Miley and Liam showed PDA during the day date, while their friend hung out and snapped pictures from across the table. Liam kicked off a fun weekend on Friday when he suited up for the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards at Soho House. Miley didn't join him for the red carpet, but the duo did pose together at the People's Choice Awards earlier this month. There's bound to be more couples' time in front of the cameras for Miley and Liam since he'll soon start promoting The Hunger Games ahead of its March release. The People's Choice Awards took over the Nokia Theatre in LA tonight with major stars from Twilight, The Vampire Diaries, and Hunger Games in attendance. TV stars Lea Michele, Nina Dobrev, and Neil Patrick Harris were just some of the lucky winners who took home beautiful Waterford crystal statues. Maroon 5, Chloe Moretz, and Adam Sandler nabbed further honors.

Robert Pattinson debuted a new hairstyle and accepted a trophy for best dramatic film on behalf of his Water For Elephants cast. He was presented the award by friend and Twilight costar Ashley Greene as well as Chuck's Zachary Levi. Big-screen comedy Bridesmaids got bragging rights for best comedy, though Kristen Wiig missed out on the fun in order to rehearse for this week's SNL. We were there on the red carpet and behind the scenes during the telecast to chat with attendees and winners. The Ladies Go Bright, White, and Bold on the People's Choice Awards Red Carpet

It was a fun night on the People's Choice Awards red carpet in LA today. Stars brought the glamour in metallics, bold colors, and bright neutrals as they made their way into the show. Miley Cyrus showed off her glowing tan in a light yellow David Koma dress on the arm of boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, who has been busy with press for The Hunger Games this week. Winner Lea Michele went with a white Marchesa, and Jennifer Morrison followed suit in an Oscar de la Renta of the same hue. The evening's host, Kaley Cuoco, posed in a metallic Badgley Mischka gown while Julianne Hough, fresh off her St. Barts vacation, wore a sequined mini with an open back.

The evening wasn't all about neutrals though, since some ladies opted for bright color instead. How I Met Your Mother's Alyson Hannigan covered her baby bump in a short red Alice + Olivia number. Both Busy Philipps and nominee Jennifer Lawrence chose blue, with Busy in Carven and Jennifer rocking a daring Victor & Rolf. Nina Dobrev, who picked up the award for favorite TV drama actress, stood out in green Elie Saab.

Rounding out the red carpet fashion were a few ladies who went with black. Presenter Ashley Greene stepped out in a custom lace DKNY look and Pretty Little Liars actress Lucy Hale continued the sexy trend with a dramatic Cengiz Abazoglu outfit. Ellie Kemper was honored as part of the cast of Bridesmaids in a simple dark dress, while Vanessa Hudgens mixed things up in a Jenny Packham halter.

People's Choice Awards Trend Alert: Pretty as a Peach

Orange is the color of 2012, and the starlets at the People's Choice Awards certainly seemed cognizant of it. Peach was everywhere - on lips nails, cheeks, and quite a few dresses, too. Demi Lovato, in fact, wore the color head to toe, and Lea Michele, Miley Cyrus, Emma Stone, and Jennifer Lawrence all had peach lip or nail accents as well. Spring is only a few weeks ahead, so we wouldn't be surprised to see the shade become a dominant color on the red carpet all the way through May.

LOL Trailer: Miley Cyrus Laughs Out Loud in High School and Paris

In LOL, Miley Cyrus stars as Lola, who goes by the nickname of "Lol," so the title isn't just reflective of her generation's love for and reliance on technology. But cell phones, IMs, and texting do play a big part here, as Lola and her friends navigate high school and its profusion of boys and partying. Of course, no high school movie is complete without a disapproving parent, and Lola's mom (Demi Moore) certainly doesn't endorse Lola's misbehavior, which includes failing her classes. Lola eventually gets to go to France for some reason, and things with her mom start to look up.

LOL in general seems achingly cheesy (it's not helped by voice-over lines like "she's at that special age when hearts are broken"). That said, I probably would have liked it when I was Lola's age; the trailer is bubbly and light, and worth it to watch for the costume changes and man candy (and to see if you can pick out the very brief glimpse of Ashley Greene). There's no release date set yet, but you can watch the trailer after the break.

Miley Cyrus wore a bright, strapless bikini in Hawaii yesterday as she and Liam Hemsworth spent some time on the beach. The couple are in the islands after marking the holidays with their families, and during their day by the water, the pair were also seen playfully snapping some photos - Liam even stripped off his shirt for Miley's lens! Miley looked relaxed as she and Liam lounged in the sun, despite tweeting about her fear of flying as they set off for their vacation.

Miley and Liam have been dating off-and-on since teaming up on the movie The Last Song. Miley has been focusing mostly on her music career since then, going on a major tour this Summer and recording several new songs this year, but she'll make her return to film soon. Last month, it was announced that Miley will be a voice in the upcoming animated movie Hotel Transylvania, playing the daughter of Adam Sandler's character. In the meantime, Liam is gearing up for a milestone big-screen moment of his own, with the highly anticipated adaptation of The Hunger Games hitting theaters in just a few short months.

Miley Cyrus and her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, soaked up the sun in Hawaii this afternoon. The couple snapped pictures of themselves, and Miley even caught a cute shot of Liam shirtless. Miley and Liam got away after spending the holidays with family, though the festive season isn't the only reason they've had to celebrate. Miley turned 19 years old last month and recently tweeted about the two and a half years of "pure bliss" she's enjoyed with Liam.

There's even more excitement for Liam, who stars in the upcoming movie adaptation of the popular book The Hunger Games. The drama hits the big screen in March, which means the actor will embark on a big press tour in the New Year. We just got a look at more new Hunger Games pictures, including a shot of his costar Jennifer Lawrence in character. Liam will also get to work promoting The Expendables 2 in 2012, which he started filming in October.
