James and Gus Bring Their Milk to London

James Franco joined Gus Van Sant and screenwriter Dustin Lance Black yesterday to pose for photos as they promote Milk in London. Their film doesn't open in the UK until next Friday, but the Brits seem to be loving it already. The movie just picked up multiple BAFTA nominations, including nods for Best Film and Best Original Screenplay. James and his cast mates skipped out on this year's Golden Globes, but with praise pouring in from many other directions, they have reason to be optimistic about next week's Oscar nominations.

Milk Does Some Cute Boys' Bodies Good in NYC

Milk arrived in NYC last night with all its handsome stars out for the red carpet. Details helped host the event and recent cover boy Chace Crawford got dressed up and his usually shaggy hair was perfectly coiffed to attend the screening. Downtown from his grad school in the Upper West Side, Columbia, James Franco let both his hair and facial hair look a little more unruly, but he can certainly pull it off. Another night, another event for Robert Buckley who's a favorite bachelor and a very familiar face these days. There are still a couple weeks before Milk hits theaters, but there couldn't be a better time for a movie with such an important message to speak on the big screen.

James and Emile Make Time For the Times and Milk

James Franco and Emile Hirsch were looking suave in their suits leaving the New York Times building in NYC yesterday after participating in a panel discussion about their film Milk. They probably have lots to say about their movie, especially considering its renewed relevance in the wake of the Proposition 8 controversy. From there, James was off to film a segment for The Late Show that airs on Friday. It's his second visit to the show since July, and even without his also hot costar by his side, James was probably his usual charming self.

Milk Comes Home to San Francisco

The Milk premiere brought out Hollywood actors, political figures and the movie's real life inspirations in SF last night. Sean Penn walked the red carpet with Robin by his side but skipped chatting with reporters to greet fans. TR Knight and his boyfriend came to support the film along with the stars of the movie including Josh Brolin, Diego Luna, Alison Pill and happy to return to his home James Franco. Emile Hirsch talked on the red carpet about what made him want to get involved in Milk. He said,

"To me it’s just really an American story. It’s the quintessential principles, it’s what we stand for - equality, democracy, it’s these principles. The film tells the story in a very unlikely way, but it really is what it means to be an American. That’s why this really is the greatest country in the world."

Patriotic sounding Emile wasn't the only one ready to express enthusiasm, everyone else at the premiere from the actors, the historical figures and picketers for no on Prop 8 had a lot to say about the political atmosphere.

Milk Heads Down California Coast

The boys of Milk, James Franco, Emile Hirsch, Sean Penn, and Josh Brolin, stepped out to premiere their movie in LA last night. They first walked the red carpet in SF before the election, but Prop. 8 is still a hot topic. Earlier this week, James talked about the close ties between the film and the proposition, saying, "Things [since the '70s] have changed, but with Prop 8, it shows that we are not all the way there. And if Harvey Milk was alive today, there is no doubt he would be fighting Prop 8 as hard as he could. It just shows that this movie isn't just a history lesson. It's showing issues that are still very much alive today." It sounds like the guys brought a lot of passion to their latest project, and maybe their film will open a few eyes when it hits theaters.

Beyonce's Got Milk

Beautiful Beyonce and her mom are the latest to pose for the Got Milk? campaign. The ad highlights the importance of role models and the mother-daughter relationship. Here's more from Tina Knowles:

“While I was growing up, my mother set a good example for me, which included eating right and drinking milk,” said Tina. “I have passed that on to my daughters, and now my grandson. Keeping ourselves busy with the clothing line and Beyonce’s new movie, we manage our weight by watching what we eat and drinking milk is a big part of that.”

It sure looks like a combined House of Dereon/Milk ad to me. We also wonder what her mother recommended when she lost all that weight for Dreamgirls. She certainly didn't recommend a liquid diet then but we all know Milk does a body good. There is no denying that.

Nick Lights Mariah's Fire While She Sweetens Him Up

New York's finest, Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey, hosted a Halloween Eve Costume party at Marquee last night and had fun posing with a wardrobe change in the middle. The couple showed up to the party on a FDNY firetruck and then once inside changed into their milk and cookie outfits. Considering how Mariah dresses day-to-day, it's no surprise that she went super sexy for the holiday, but at least that one is a little more original. We know these two love being photographed and while it's fun to see their costumes we can't wait to see who else will be out celebrating Halloween.

What can I say, we cannot get enough of Joshua Jackson! The cutie was spotted leaving Milk Studios in NYC last night after The Art of Elysium Rebel, Rebel party. Once again there was no Diane by his side, but even all by his lonesome we just love love love all this Pacey Whitter. I will even forgive him what looks like a man purse (right?) because he's just so scruffy and adorable.
