Ashlee Simpson and Minka Kelly walked between boutiques on Oxford Street in Sydney today. They picked up some goodies along the way, eventually wrapping up their afternoon with a few shopping bags in hand. Ashlee and Minka are Down Under for the opening of the new Marquee nightclub tonight. They're just a few of the celebrities who made the trek to Australia for the big event, including Ashlee's former brother-in-law Nick Lachey and his wife, Vanessa. Minka's rumored new flame, Wilmer Valderrama, is also in the country, as are Kellan Lutz and Paris Hilton. Paris's boyfriend, DJ Afrojack, is performing at the party after spending last weekend in Miami for the Winter Music Conference. The fun will continue tomorrow when Jermaine Dupri and Will.i.am take the stage at the new club, which is located inside the recently renovated Star Sydney resort.

Last night's Valentino store opening drew a gathering of LA's best-dressed celebs to Rodeo Drive. The flagship fete was the opportune time for Hollywood's style crowd to don their prettiest Valentino frocks - there was hardly a pair of pants in sight, save for maybe one very lovely jumpsuit. We spotted the label's lace and leather confections, signature flashes of femininity in the form of ruffles and floral adornments, and a room of covet-worthy accessories to complete every look. Minka Kelly stepped out in a gold-tinged ladylike dress and Nicky Hilton showed off the loveliest version of the leather dress. Brad, who is their exclusive stylist, was joined by party goers in celebrating the launch of his new book Born to Be Brad. Jessica Alba, Minka Kelly, Mandy Moore, and Ahna O'Reilly gathered for the fete at Sunset Tower where they posed with Brad and got goofy with paper pairs of his signature glasses.
