Paul McCartney and Friends Launch "Meat Free Mondays"

That's why today the Beatle and other celebs launched the UK version of "Meat Free Mondays," a campaign that already exists in the US and Australia to convince consumers to forgo meat one day a week. At the UK party, McCartney - along with fellow conservationists Stella McCartney, Yoko Ono, Kate Bosworth, Moby, and Kelly Osborne - walked the green carpet in London's St. James's Park to draw attention to climate change issues. There, the singer emphasized that going meatless even once a week means fewer greenhouse gas emissions from the world's livestock population. "I thought this was a great idea," McCartney told reporters. "To just reduce your meat intake maybe by one day a week and this would seriously benefit the planet . . . You've had too much over the weekend anyway and you're all running down to the gym to try and work it off, so just have a meat-free Monday." With increased concern over greenhouse gases and more of a focus on affordable and healthy options, meatless eating has become a popular concept, even taking flight in the progressive town of Ghent, Belgium. Although I've already had a couple of meaty bites today, I'd consider implementing this beginning next week. What about you: do you think you could go meatless one day a week?

Mary-Kate Olsen Is on Tribeca Jury Duty

Mary-Kate Olsen continued to make the rounds at the Tribeca Film Festival yesterday, looking gorgeous in Nina Ricci and Topshop at a Chanel event at Odeon restaurant in NYC. Joining her was a scruffy Adrien Brody and the always fashion-forward Diane Kruger - whose outfit did you like more? MK is a juror at the film festival this year, and last night she talked about how excited she is, saying,

"I wish there was a class. It's a huge honor to be a part of it. I've been watching the movies. I just started, so I don't know what we do or what's going to happen. This is the first night, really. I got my pamphlet this morning. I already watched all the shorts and am going to re-watch them. This is fun."

At the end of the night Mary-Kate was spotted leaving with Bradley Cooper, but nothing romantic here - earlier in the day she was spotted kissing her BF Nate Lowman, and making new celebrity friends is probably one of the perks of being a face at the festival.

Chace and Mary-Kate Are Curious About Benjamin Button

While the stars of the movie didn't make it, some big names hit the red carpet at a NY screening of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button last night. The movie scored all the big Golden Globe nominations walking away with five total. Mary-Kate Olsen's role in The Wackness wasn't quite recognized by the HFPA but she was happy to come out and see the unusual looking film. Ciara pulled off a daring dress while Chace Crawford stepped it up but skipped the tie. At least he didn't have Taylor Momsen with him as a date since we agree the age difference is a bit much. While the movie doesn't hit theaters until Christmas day, audiences are already pretty curious about seeing it.

They ran around from front row to party to front row and look as fresh faced as ever taking in the Donna Karan show this morning, the final half day of FW. Rosario looks great, too of course, but she's played it a little more low key this week. Sienna's Ready For Her Diddy-Free Interview

Sienna and a very weary looking Steve Buscemi screened their new movie Interview last night in NYC. The event was hosted by Dior Beauty, so of course Anna Wintour made an appearance. No idea what Daphne Zuniga was doing there, but doesn't it just make you nostalgic for the days of Melrose Place? Speaking of drama and scandalous behavior, Sienna is still rambling about her non relationship with Diddy, saying, “The amount of people I've been linked to that I've said, ‘Hi, nice to meet you,’ at a party, and then next minute I'm pregnant with their child." Well, we see Sienna's point, but late night rendezvousing is not exactly the same as shaking hands at a party. Just saying.
