Ben Affleck and Chris O'Donnell Reconnect While Making the Early Morning Rounds

Ben Affleck and Chris O'Donnell crossed paths this morning at The Early Show studios in NYC. The guys have known each other since the '90s, when they shared the big screen in School Ties. Ben got a head start on the interviewing with a previous stop at The Today Show, where he chatted about his movie The Town - check out his appearance after the jump. He's back in the States after a trip to Canada, where he and wife Jennifer Garner chilled with his costars in the movie at the Toronto Film Festival premiere. Ben's got more work to do ahead still, with a stop planned at The Daily Show this evening. Chris, meanwhile, is out and about chatting up his new season of NCIS: LA. Vampires, Cougars, and Glee Kids Unite at the Monte Carlo TV Festival

Nina Dobrev joined her handsome Vampire Diaries costars Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley last night at the closing ceremony for the Monte Carlo Television Festival. Since arriving in France, the trio have been busy promoting their series and addressing the ways in which their show is connected to Twilight and True Blood. Jane Lynch, Kevin McHale, and Jenna Ushkowitz from Glee also hit the red carpet along with Cougar Town's Busy Philipps and The Mentalist's Simon Baker. Jenna and Kevin left Jane at their hotel this morning, though, when they hit the beach for a rather cozy-looking swim. Simon had a similar idea, bringing his family along for a day of soaking up the sun in the South of France.

Buzz In: What TV Show's Success Baffles You?

Over the weekend, the New York Times ran a feature on CBS's NCIS, which has somehow become the most successful show on television. It's currently dominating two different nights (Tuesdays, when new episodes air, and Fridays, when it airs in repeats) and has also made a splash in reruns on cable.

This is all a little weird to me because - forgive me, NCIS fans - I've never really thought of the show as anything more than "CSI on a boat." To be TV's most-watched show, beating even the many CSIs? That seems crazy!

That got me thinking about TV shows that have risen to extreme popularity that you just don't get, no matter how hard you try. Are you baffled by your friends who arrange Thursdays around that sex-and-medicine show called Grey's Anatomy? Do you roll your eyes the second anyone says the words American Idol? Air your grievances below!
