Natalie Portman and her son Aleph Millepied spent Wednesday afternoon at an LA park together. Aleph played in the sandbox and took a ride down the slide with help from his mom. Natalie had the company of her husband Benjamin for a recent couple's night out on the East Coast, where they attended the New York City Ballet's Spring Gala. It's an exciting time of year for the family of three since Aleph is nearing his first birthday. The little guy has had a fun year with trips overseas, traveling coast to coast, and the marriage of his parents in February. Natalie's been focused on family lately, but she'll soon get back to the big screen with news that she'll star in the western Jane Got a Gun.

The NYC Spring Ballet Gala took place at Lincoln Center last evening, and Natalie Portman and Drew Barrymore both attended in gorgeous gowns. Natalie Portman was an honorary cochair for the gala and walked the carpet alongside her choreographer husband, Benjamin Millepied, whom she met while filming Black Swan. Natalie is the face of Christian Dior's fragrance Miss Dior, so it's no surprise she wore the designer head to toe for the evening at the ballet. Drew Barrymore and Natalie Portman Have a Double Date Night For the Ballet

Drew Barrymore and Natalie Portman had a double date night in NYC yesterday. The actresses both brought their guys along for the New York City Ballet's 2012 Spring Gala. Drew, who wore a white Chanel dress, posed with fiancé Will Kopelman. Natalie, meanwhile, wore Dior to smile for pictures alongside husband Benjamin Millepied. Benjamin, a dancer himself, choreographed a piece for the Spring debut. The Rodarte sisters, Laura and Kate Mulleavy, designed costumes for his ballerinas. It was a reunion of sorts, since Benjamin, Natalie, and the Mulleavys also worked together to costume and choreograph Black Swan. Gilles Mendel and Swarovski also provided outfits for other works that are currently being staged by the Ballet.

Natalie Portman posed for photos outside of the Audrey Hepburn Children's House in New Jersey this afternoon. She was joined by Audrey's son Sean Ferrer for the event to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the location's opening. Natalie serves as an honorary godmother and an advisory board member for the charity, which helps abused and neglected children.

Natalie's been stepping out when she's not busy with her son, Aleph. Last month, she traveled to Washington DC to speak at the Holocaust Memorial Museum's Elie Wiesel National Tribute Dinner and announced her involvement as an ambassador with Free the Children in Paris.

Natalie Portman Heads to DC Ahead of Holocaust Remembrance Day

Natalie Portman took the stage last night to speak during the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's 2012 Elie Wiesel National Tribute Dinner. The actress traveled to Washington DC to attend the event, held at the Gaylord National Hotel & Convention Center. The second annual Elie Wiesel honor went to activist Aung San Suu Kyi. Natalie made remarks about her work, and other short speeches were given by Holocaust survivor Gerda Klein, as well as White House Chief of Staff Jacob Lew. The tribute came ahead of today's Holocaust Remembrance Day, which is being marked in DC with a ceremony in the Capitol Rotunda and a speech from Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner.

The trip to DC is Natalie's latest adventure this week. She also linked up with Jane Goodall for a movie screening a few days ago. Natalie watched Chimpanzee in NYC, where other stars like Dave Matthews, Darren Aronofsky, Naomi Watts, and Liev Schreiber met up with legendary anthropologist Jane.

Natalie Portman packed up and headed out of Paris today. She held her 10-month-old son, Aleph, close for the airport trip and had the help of assistants with her luggage. Natalie was in France to announce her new role as an ambassador for Free the Children. The philanthropic endeavor is part of her work as a Dior spokesmodel, with the proceeds of the brand's Nude Griege lipstick benefiting the international charity.

Natalie is ramping up for her return to the big screen with multiple movie projects in the works. She's set to star in Terrence Malick's Lawless and Knight of Cups along with reprising her role as Jane Foster in the Thor sequel.

Natalie has since turned her focus to philanthropy and announced yesterday that she's taking on the role of ambassador for the international charity Free the Children. The actress and Dior spokesmodel personally chose a lipstick from the brand, Rogue Dior in Nude Griege, the proceeds of which will go to Free the Children. Natalie shared her excitement about becoming involved, saying, "As a mother and the organization's newest ambassador, I am grateful to Free the Children for giving me the opportunity to channel my passion and love of children into meaningful action that furthers the education and leadership of young women for years to come."

Natalie Portman carried her son, Aleph Millepied, while out in LA yesterday. She and her husband, Benjamin Millepied, who married in secret recently, are looking forward to Aleph's first birthday in just a few months. They welcomed Aleph last June and during the last year have introduced him to his father's native France as well as Switzerland, where Benjamin was based while working with the National Geneva Theater.

Natalie has been selective with projects herself since Aleph's birth. She and Benjamin attended a few award shows, including the Oscars and Golden Globes, after she won best actress statues at both in 2011 for her role in Black Swan. Natalie has passed on a few starring roles but decided to take on a position behind the scenes. She's producing a series for ABC called Scruples, which is the story of a male clothing designer living a dramatic, high-flying life.

Natalie Portman carried her son Aleph out of an LA synagogue on Saturday, with her husband Benjamin Millepied following not far behind. Both Natalie and Benjamin were sporting their wedding bands. It came out that Natalie Portman had married longtime love Benjamin after the duo wore their rings to the Oscars. They announced their engagement back in December of 2010, right when Natalie confirmed her pregnancy. Baby Aleph arrived in the world just a few months later in June of 2011. Since welcoming her son, Natalie hasn't taken any new acting roles. She will, though, be back in the business in another way. Natalie Portman is producing a series for ABC called Scruples, which centers around a male clothing designer caught up in a world of lies and high drama.
