Paris Terrorizes Australia With Shopping
Paris Hilton and Brittany Flickinger continued their tour of Sydney last night with dinner after a long day of shopping before hitting the beach and getting all dressed up for tonight's New Years eve party. Paris managed to surprise and even offend some locals by spending the equivalent of $100 a minute, but the Deputy Prime Minister was quick to step in and declare it a good thing. Who knows why actual politicians were drawn into the minor controversy, but hey.
Kanye West's New Years Will Be a Quiet Night In?
Kanye West seemed to be in good spirits out in LA after a meal at yummy Houston's this week. It's been a rough year for Kanye and the paparazzi with two different incidents where it turned violent, but maybe he's turning over a new leaf for 2009. One thing we won't be doing is seeing Mr. West out partying anywhere tonight — according to his blog, he's staying in on New Year's Eve for the first time in five years to enjoy a little down time instead.

Shia LaBeouf ventured out of the house on Tuesday to pick up a snack before working on a classic car and taking out the garbage. Looks like his hand is going to stay bandaged up right into 2009, but after a year filled with drama, a fresh start may be just what Shia needs right now. She was back in the South with her whole family including her boys and Jamie Lynn and Maddie to celebrate her brother Bryan's New Year's Eve wedding to Jamie Lynn's manager. Lots of you would have liked to have spent NYE watching Britney on the dance floor, but time with family is a healthy start to her year — maybe 2009 will even bring Britney a new romance of her own.
