Nic Cage Makes His Next Move

Nic stopped by Letterman last night to promote his new film Next that opens today. In the movie he stars as a man who can see two minutes into the future. As a result he's relentlessly pursued by the FBI, which wants to use him to stop a terrorist threat. The action thriller also stars Jessica Biel as his love interest. Ghost Rider Rides to the Top of Box Office

Nic was in pretty good spirits at the Daytona 500 this weekend. It probably had a little something to do with the fact that Ghost Rider came in at #1 with $51.5 million this holiday weekend. People are obviously still loving big budget comic book movies. Sexy Eva Mendes probably helped sales a bit too!

Nicolas Cage and Eva Mendes were at Comic-Con to promote their upcoming film, Ghost Rider. Who knew that even Nic would get "funky hair extensions." I wonder if they are from the new Jessica Simpson line.

Nic Cage Stays in Character

Not too sure what's going on with Nic's hair. Maybe this look was inspired by his new film Ghost Rider, which comes out next month. In the film Nic plays stunt cyclist, Johnny Blaze who makes a deal with the devil to save his dying father. As a result, he becomes a motorcycle riding supernatural agent of justice. The film is based on the Marvel comic and since we love a good comic book movie we are expecting Nic to look a lot cooler than he does here.

The married couple since July 2004 welcomed a baby boy, Kal-el Coppola Cage today in NYC. Here's the background on the babies name from People:

As it turns out, Kal-el is the comic-book birth name of Superman on the planet Krypton. The name Coppola, however, is Cage's family name. His uncle is the director Francis Ford Coppola.

I really want to see his new movie with Jared Leto. Maybe this weekend I will have time to catch it and by then his wife may have their kid. She is supposedly due any day. He looks really protective of her, it's very cute. Love her bag.

Nic and Eva Ghost Ride the Red Carpet

This weekend, Eva and Nic were off to Madrid to promote their new movie, Ghost Rider. Nic may have the lead role in the movie, but Eva's certainly easier on the eyes, even when she's dressed a little bit like a 50's housewife. I can only assume that she has to show off a little more of her fit bod in the film than she did at this premiere. Meanwhile, unless Nic Cage is preparing to film a Wayne Newton biopic or trying to emulate Tom Hanks circa the Da Vinci Code period, there's no excuse for the hair.

Jessica Biel Crushes on Her Leading Men

Jessica was caught at JFK looking pretty fresh faced considering she has no make-up on. She's recently been promoting her new film Next with Nic Cage. In the sci-fi thriller Nic plays her love interest. She recently told eXtra about having a crush on him as well as her favorite on screen kissing co-stars. Here's more:

On Nic:
“My mother said to me,'Do you remember that you were in love with him when you were thirteen?' So I’ve had this mini crush on him for a long time.”
On her favorite on screen kisser:
“On my God, let’s see… It might be a tie between Nic, Ed Norton and Adam Sandler… they’re all very good kissers.”

Diane and Nic Bring Their National Treasure to NYC

The stars of National Treasure: Book of Secrets were all out in NYC last night to show off their anticipated sequel. Diane Kruger, one of Fab's favorite red carpet girls of 2007 took advantage of the big night with not one, but two fancy dresses and one very, very dapper looking Josh Jackson on her arm. He is such a cutie. I'm really hoping that the writers' strike doesn't mean that we'll never get to see him on Grey's. Josh wasn't the only well dressed gentleman at the event - Nic Cage, Jon Voight and Ed Harris were all looking pretty great for the premiere. Little Abigail Breslin was out for the screening, too, and lucky for the 11-year-old the movie is PG. What do you think, holiday guilty pleasure movie or no, no, no?
