Halle Berry went sexy in her cutout dress last night for Keep a Child Alive's 6th Annual Black Ball in NYC. She had her best accessory, boyfriend Gabriel, on her arm, as she walked the red carpet alongside Adrian Grenier and pregnant Padma Lakshmi. John Mayer made an appearance solo as rumors about his rekindled romance with Jennifer Aniston circulate, though you guys seem to think their giving it another go is a pretty terrible idea. Today happens to be John's 32nd birthday, so it looks like he got a head start on the celebrating.

Mariah's Live Performance - Totally Entertaining or Total Trainwreck?

Mariah Carey took the stage last night to perform her song "Obsessed" on America's Got Talent. Following an introduction by the show's host, her husband Nick Cannon, she took the spotlight to belt out the tune in a rendition that lacked her usual polish. The music seemed to slow and stop, and Mariah even looked a little befuddled at times. It clearly wasn't her best, but tell us what you think of Mariah's live performance - was it totally entertaining or a total trainwreck?

Michelle and Mariah Team Up For a Fresh Evening

Summery white was the color of choice for both Mariah Carey and Michelle Williams at the Fresh Air Fund's Salute to American Heroes event in NYC last night. Mariah arrived on the arm of her husband Nick Cannon, while Michelle was rolling solo as Spike Jonze finishes work on Where the Wild Things Are over in London. Michelle rightfully didn't look bothered by the unkind words recently uttered by the former show runner of Dawson's Creek as she celebrated a charitable evening with friends.

Last night, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon threw a big party in Vegas to celebrate one year of marriage. After a lavish dinner, Nick brought Mariah to tears with a surprise video tribute of their best moments and a shower of balloons. When the two eloped last April, we doubted that it would last. That said, the two seem as blissful together as ever, and the only rumors that surround them are about whether or not they'll have kids. I admit that I might have misjudged the couple, but tell us - are you surprised that Nick and Mariah have lasted this long?

Jay-Z and Beyonce Greet 2009 With a Wave and a Smile

Jay-Z looked relaxed and happy, waving to photographers as he cruised around St. Barths with Beyonce. The couple stayed off the jet skis this time around, spending their New Year's Eve walking around the city between boat trips. That night they partied at a club with Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon, and Timbaland among others. Both ladies toasted with champagne or wine putting to rest any lingering pregnancy rumors. It's a rare treat to see Beyonce and Jay-Z letting loose with each other but it looks like Jay is happy to keep up with his not-so-single lady on the dance floor.

All Mariah Wanted For Christmas Was Nick

Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey spent Christmas in Aspen this week, bundled up in matching outfits for shopping trips joined by her doggie Jack. After a whirlwind year together, it looks like the couple is going stronger than ever and now Mariah has Nick to help her snuggle up to and hit the slopes with on her annual Aspen trip. We may have to wait until 2009 before we find out if there's a baby on the way, but for now they have plenty to celebrate as they ring in their first New Year as a married couple.

Biggest Headlines of 2008: Nick and Mariah's Whirlwind Elopement

We've been counting down the biggest headlines of 2008, and we'll be revealing more throughout the month of December. We hope you enjoy this look back at some of the posts and stories that created the most buzz throughout the year.

When Mariah Carey picked Nick Cannon to play her love interest in her music video for Bye-Bye, little did we know what was in store. On April 30 we heard rumblings that Mariah and Nick had gotten engaged, though their relationship was still relatively private at the time. On the very next day, news spread that the two had eloped on an island. While everyone was still taking in the surprising story, rumors emerged about no prenup and that Mariah's engagement ring was recycled. Eventually we saw their wedding photos and spotted them on their honeymoon - it was clear that the marriage was real.

The newlyweds returned from their vacation ready and willing to take part in all of the publicity. They posed for every photo op, gave interviews talking babies, and revealed they want to get married every year. Nick threw a Six Flags celebration for friends and family of the couple while Mariah gushed about how Nick saved her. Mr. and Mrs. Cannon traveled all over the world shooting music videos and posing for the paparazzi. At the end of the year, there were pregnancy rumors coming from all over. Most of you didn't think these two would last but with maybe a third addition to the family on the way in 2009, they might stay together longer than anyone expected.

Mrs. Montag Wouldn't Bet on Heidi and Spencer's Marriage

With performances by Lionel Richie and David Archuleta, it's no wonder everyone looked so happy at last night's Road to a Cure Gala in LA. Seacrest took the stage, but as usual Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt stole the show proudly displaying their new wedding rings. Theirs may not be remotely your favorite wedding of 2008, and something tells me Heidi's mom would agree. Beyond betting that their marriage will only last six months, she said, "I would like to see a blood test from Mexico. It wouldn’t surprise me if [Spencer] had [Heidi] drugged." Not the most supportive words from the mom of the new bride, but we'll have to wait and see how her prediction plays out.

Rihanna and Chris Lead the Press Room Pack

After receiving their honors up on stage, the winners at last night's American Music Awards headed over to the press room with their scary dangerous trophies. Taylor Swift, Jordin Sparks and Rihanna posed with their prizes, while big winner Chris Brown looked like he had a hard time managing his haul. Paris Hilton wasn't taking anything home, but that didn't stop her from striking a few poses for the waiting cameras. Mariah Carey looked the happiest of all the evening's honorees, with one arm holding her statuette and the other around her husband Nick Cannon.

Mariah and Nick Take a Shirtless Pre-Holiday Holiday

Mariah and Nick were hanging out at the World Music Awards last week, and they moved the party from Monaco to Mexico with a stop in Miami over the weekend. The couple is big on tropical vacations, and while Nick showed off his abs Mariah wasn't in the mood to strut her bikini body this time around. Next week they'll celebrate their first Thanksgiving together as man and wife, so we'll see if they continue their vacation or come back to the states for a more traditional celebration.
