The 2009 American Music Awards descended on the Nokia Theatre in LA last night, which meant a star studded red carpet before the big show. It was a pleasant mixture of long and short dresses on all the ladies, though some even found a way to do both simultaneously like Rihanna in her cutout gown. Carrie Underwood has the early lead in Fab's best dressed poll, but Rih is close behind.

The two stayed close together as they posed with Nicole's super-straight hair blowing in the wind. Nicole Kidman, Kate Hudson, Penelope Cruz, and Marion Cotillard grace the cover of Vogue's November issue in various shades of red to promote their highly anticipated Nine movie. We saw them at the Annie Leibovitz shoot back in February, and the final product looks beautiful. Inside the magazine all of the film's actresses, including Sophia Loren, Judi Dench, and Fergie, posed together.
Nicole, Naomi, and Jessica Are Women Dining For Women
Nicole Kidman and her pal Naomi Watts were together last night in NYC for the "Important Dinner for Women" at Cipriani's. They were joined by famous faces like Wendi Murdoch and Liya Kebede for the event, which followed a day of meetings at the UN about issues affecting women of the world. The meal was hosted by Queen Rania of Jordan, who mingled with other celebs like Jessica Alba, Naomi Campbell, and Veronica Webb.
