It was a 90th birthday party to remember for Nelson Mandela, who went big for his star-studded celebration in London's Hyde Park yesterday. Will Smith managed to tear himself away from his non-stop promotional tour of Hancock to catch up with his buddies Robert de Niro, Forest Whitaker and Denzel Washington, and of course to spend some time with Jada. There was no sign of Amy Winehouse, but Naomi Campbell was happy to provide the drama, showing up even though Nelson personally requested she be removed from the guest list after her recent legal issues.

Last night at the Kodak Theater Condé Nast hosted Movies Rock which lucky for us will air on CBS next week. The idea was to celebrate film through music with performances by Beyonce, Fergie, John Legend, Tony Bennett, Usher and more. The idea is similar to the Fashion Rocks concert which celebrated Fashion Week and music.

Last night was all about the AI alums at the American Music Awards. Carrie Underwood and Chris Daughtry (and his band) walked away with three glass pyramids apiece while Justin Timberlake won two, but had to accept via satellite. He seemed so thrilled about it, too.

The ladies mixed it up on the red carpet at the American Music Awards last night, but most opted to show off their stems. Never one to blend in with the crowd, Beyonce decided to go with the mermaid look that was a favorite back at the Emmys. What did you think about all the red carpet looks and beauty?

Last night Christina Aguilera looked fabulous in green at a Rock the Vote party at Kitson. We know celebs can't seem to get enough of one of their favorite Robertson Boulevard stores so it's no suprise that even the pregant pop star can't resist the fun. We're loving that Christina ditched the red lips tonight even if she maintains her very done up look.

Last night Munich was abuzz with music sensations for the MTV Euro Music Awards. There were singers and performers from all over the world, but the night belonged to a Canadian, Avril Lavigne, winning both Most Addictive Track for "Girlfriend" and Solo Performer of 2007. Apparently, hats were the dress code for dudes, as evidenced by the Madden brothers, Jared Leto, Snoop and Pete Doherty.

After the ladies and men showed off their red carpet styles, they headed into the Nokia Theater for the American Music Awards last night. The show started off with an exciting medley from Christina followed by a performance from the New Kids on the Block that you guys are split on. Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and the Jonas Brothers represented the industry's young blood while Coldplay, Kanye, Mariah and Alicia Keys with Queen Latifah were also crowd pleasers.
