David Beckham Is the Lakers' Staple Good Luck Charm

Celebrity fans come and go from the Lakers games, but David Beckham has become a permanent fixture at the Staples center. Last night Becks's favorite team continued their undefeated streak, beating the Houston Rockets at a home game filled with a star-studded audience once again. Brooklyn accompanied his father courtside as the two shared laughs and a candy apple. Now that Victoria is back from London, the whole family can get back to spending time together before David is off to Milan while she stays in LA with the boys this winter.

Noah Wyle Takes it Slow

Noah Wyle and his son, Owen, were enjoying the fabulous beaches of Malibu earlier this week like a lot of other celebs. We loved Noah on ER but it seems he has been MIA since then. He probably still makes a pretty penny from the show being in syndication but we'd like to see him in action again. Until then we'll take the cute dad and his mini-me enjoying a stroll in the sand.

Clooney Gets Honored

The weekend kicked off with a Clooney love affair. Friends and co-stars came out to roast the Dapper Dan who looked fabulous as always. George was being honored at the 21st Annual American Cinematheque Award gala. Most of his co-stars from his past came to tell a tale or two about the honored actor. As usual, George made quite a few laughs including wondering where his Facts of Life co-stars were. How did George feel about being honored? He said:

"Basically, what it is, really, is a bunch of your friends who are gonna roast the hell out of you,... But when it's done, you're raising money to help American Cinematheque, which actually does some great things."

I'm surprised he stayed around this long, but now Dr John Carter is finally ending his run with ER. The Dr is the only original cast member since the show began 11 years ago. Recently ER was renewed, but John will leave this May with a few cameo appearances in the years to come.

The Lakers made it 2-0 against the Orlando Magic in the NBA Finals last night at the Staples Center. Playoff regulars Zac Efron, Adam Levine, and Leonardo DiCaprio were just some of the star-studded fans who watched the nail-biter from the audience. Diddy was decked out, matching his son, while Mark Wahlberg smiled in support. Rihanna was positively glowing from the stands, making it a girls' night out with her friends. American Idol winner Kris Allen, who just signed his record deal, performed the national anthem to the packed crowd as Hollywood's favorite team is halfway to the championship going into game three tomorrow.

Jennifer and Marc Take a Noche For Los Ninos

Jennifer Lopez worked the red carpet with Marc Anthony before lightening things up behind the podium at the Noche de Ninos Gala benefiting the Children's Hospital of LA on Saturday night. Jennifer talked about how a medical scare with her daughter Emme inspired her to start a foundation providing medical services to families in need. In the spirit of Mother's Day, she also debuted a brand new song she wrote for the twins. After an evening of giving back, Sunday was all about Jennifer celebrating her second year of motherhood.

Kate, Courteney, David & Adam CelEBrate On The Pier

A sunny LA Saturday brought some charity-driven celebrities out to the Santa Monica pier for the CelEBration to Benefit the EB Medical Research Foundation. Looks like a blast! Kate, Len and Lily enjoyed the rides while David Arquette tried his arm at the games. Obviously Courteney and Coco could use some over sized stuffed animal prizes. Adam Sandler's family just makes me smile. James Marsden made sure to spend some time on the randomly placed red carpet and Balthazar Getty was a good sport on the receiving end of the dunk tank. All sorts of activities! Nothing like spending a beautiful Saturday playing in the sun while benefiting a good cause, right?

George Clooney Still Has Facial Hair and Political Opinions

George Clooney was back in LA and back with his mustache out to dinner at Dan Tana's in LA last night. Talk continues to heat up about George coming back to ER for the final season, with Noah Wyle recently hinting that the actor was trying to make it work. For now, George is focusing on bigger issues like speaking out against Proposition 8 recently passing. He said:

"At some point in our lifetime, gay marriage won't be an issue, and everyone who stood against this civil right will look as outdated as George Wallace standing on the school steps keeping James Hood from entering the University of Alabama because he was black."

George is just one of the stars proving that their political opinions and involvement don't end with the election. The proposition is still being hotly contested all across the country, and we will see how much of a difference it makes.

David Duchovny Believes in London

David Duchovny left the red carpet in LA and hopped over to London to promote The X-Files: I Want To Believe. He was out looking casually cute as usual - or not, you decide. So far, the movie's been a disappointment in the box office, bringing in only $10.2 million last weekend compared to the first one's opening weekend of $30 million in 1998. David doesn't seem to be too upset, though, and showed off his good nature in an interview with the Daily Mail. Here are some highlights:

On his childhood dreams: "I never dreamed of acting. I loved basketball and dreamt about being an athlete and a writer; those were my two ambitions. I never had any firm plans, though, they were just childhood fantasies. But somebody should've told me that I was never going to make it as an athlete; I wasn't good enough."
On being famous: "Fame for me at this point is something I can't make go away; I just don't want it to be infamy. I love what I do, I get paid well, I'm happy with my life and am very grateful, but I don't do it for the fame. I understand fame, I accept it and I get it, but as an introvert it makes me uncomfortable. But you know, poor pitiful me - whatever - it's just tough."
On what he's trying to give up: "Ego, delusion, insecurity, fear of failure. It's like the Samuel Becket line 'Fail again, fail better,' so I am always trying to fail better, not feel better."

On believing in the paranormal: "I have not seen any paranormal evidence, but I do have suspicions. I think it makes more sense to believe that there is more to the world than just the physical, and that there are more forms of life than live on this earth. I am open to spirituality, but not to quackery and things that are clearly ridiculous. But if I saw as much evidence to point to the existence of the paranormal as Mulder did, I would be open to it all, certainly."
On a funny fan experience: "Nobody has ever confused me with Mulder, but years ago I was in an elevator in Chicago and a guy said: 'Good morning doctor.' I was like, OK. And then I realised he thought I was Noah Wyle from ER, which is set in Chicago, so I said: 'You've got the wrong show there, chief.'"
On family: "Just being at home with my family is great. Tea and I are lucky. Our relationship just keeps getting deeper - which is exciting. My kids don't care about the work I do. Children just care about having a stable home, having a mom and dad, and we spend a lot of time with them. We try to work at different times so that we are not both away too much. I don't believe there is just one person for you. I believe there are a number of them and that it is all a matter of timing and luck whether you find any of them."

David sounds like he has a great attitude about life, especially when it comes to his family. Whether or not his movie does better overseas, seems like this actor is one thing we can believe in. Now, we can't wait to see him when he returns as Californication's Hank Moody this Fall.
