Oprah's Favorite Things For 2011

As an avid Oprah fan, I was devastated to see the season end in September. One of my favorite episodes was Oprah's Favorite Things, because I just loved to see the audience's reactions when she announced what she was giving them. I swear, I've never seen grown men and women cry over macaroni and cheese.

When the holidays started drawing close, I was a little bit sad that I won't get to see what her favorite picks are this year. Imagine my surprise when I pulled out the December issue of Oprah's magazine to see that it's an Oprah's Favorite Things edition! Jessica Alba, Naomi Watts, and Oprah Toast Ralph Lauren's Work

Jessica Alba and Cash Warren were among the famous guests who turned out last night for "An Evening With Ralph Lauren," which was hosted by Oprah Winfrey at NYC's Lincoln Center. Other ladies who love Ralph's designs, like Naomi Watts, Uma Thurman, and Kerry Washington, hit the blue carpet solo. Jerry Seinfeld and his wife Jessica posed as a pair. Ralph had the support of his family at the event, which was a benefit for the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care and Prevention and Lincoln Center, including sons Andrew and David, daughter Dylan, and wife Ricky. David, who married Lauren Bush just over a month ago, proudly sported his new ring as he and his wife mingled and said hi to Naomi.

Ralph and Oprah sat on stage to talk about the designer's lengthy career, and what continues to inspire him. Naomi Watts shared her thoughts on Ralph's body of work as well. She said, "He's been famous for so long. I grew up following him. Ralph Lauren is a great American icon, and he's here along with another great American icon. It's my pleasure to be here."

Can Anderson Cooper Replace Oprah Winfrey?

I was missing my usual daily dose of Oprah Winfrey and was determined to find a substitute talk show. Turns out, Anderson Cooper, the famous silver-haired anchor from CNN, has his own daytime talk show called Anderson.

I've been watching a couple of episodes, but I feel like it just doesn't measure up. Sure, Anderson is charming and at times humorous, but he lacks the high emotional intelligence and the warmth that Oprah exudes. I feel that to really touch people's hearts and lives, you need to show them you can connect with the audience and the guests on a deeper level. We're so attuned to Oprah that when she laughs, we chuckle along, and when she cries, our tears well up as well. Somehow, I feel like it'll be hard to do that with Anderson, but perhaps I need to give him a chance. What do you think - can Anderson replace Oprah as our go-to daytime talk show host?

Buzz In: What's Your Favorite Episode of Oprah?

Oprah aired her final episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show this week, after 25 years on the air. Here at Sugar headquarters, we marveled that many of us grew up with the show. I definitely remember coming home from school and watching certain episodes with my mom, then as I got older, watching them on my own.

I can think of so many memorable episodes that I caught - from Tom Cruise jumping on the couch to Dr. Oz talking about S-shaped you-know-whats (Google it), or Oprah boldly confronting author James Frey. And of course, I always enjoyed episodes with her regular features like "Oprah's Favorite Things" and her influential book club. The fearless talk show host earned icon status, so I want to celebrate O by hearing from you: what's your favorite episode of the show, or your most memorable Oprah moment?
