Hugh Jackman flashed a big smile out with his kids, Ava and Oscar, yesterday in NYC. The Sexiest Man Alive had a great 2008 and he is gearing up for some busy times ahead. Hugh is getting ready to host the Oscars and promote X-Men Origins: Wolverine and he's even been invited to be on Dancing with the Stars.

Last night, the Oscars provided an exciting finale to another awesome award season. We were treated to a new format that kicked off with Hugh Jackman showing off his singing and dancing skills before having fun and joking with the big names of the night. Later on he was joined by Beyonce, Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, and Amanda Seyfried for a fun medley honoring musicals.

Hugh Jackman flew out of LAX yesterday and was greeted by tons of fans in Japan this morning. Hugh's hosting duties and performances landed him in our top 10 favorite Oscar moments list, and on her show yesterday, Oprah Winfrey said it was the best Oscars she's ever seen. The viewers seem to agree — ratings were up 13 percent from last year's show.

The Oscars are finally here after months of anticipation, though this year's ceremony will be quite different from years past. The show will feature younger presenters such as Robert Pattinson, exciting performances from the likes of Beyonce and even a reimagined stage design. Topping it all off is the host Hugh Jackman, who is more of a song-and-dance man than the usual comedians who do the job.

Twilight Descends on Tokyo While Robert Karaokes With Hugh
Kristen Stewart was sandwiched in between Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson at both the Twilight press conference and premiere in Tokyo today. With work on New Moon underway, the trio barely has time to focus on their one smash hit, which especially excites beefed up Taylor, who gets to be a main love interest this time. The third movie in the series, Eclipse, is also gearing up to get started right when filming for the second ends, and Drew Barrymore is in talks to direct.
Hugh and Nicole Are Australian Actors, in Australia, in Japan
Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman walked the red carpet together in Tokyo earlier today for another Australia premiere. Both actors took the stage at Sunday's Oscars, but it's Hugh's hosting job that is getting much of the credit for a boost in ratings. During the broadcast, Hugh poked a little fun at Australia and gave a shoutout to X-Men Origins: Wolverine, showing that this is one actor who takes his promotional work seriously enough to sing about it.
