Jennifer Aniston Premieres Five in Justin Theroux's Hometown of DC With Her Leading Ladies

Jennifer Aniston hit the red carpet in Washington DC last night for a premiere of Five at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. Earlier in the day, Jennifer Aniston toured a new breast cancer treatment facility along with Vice President Joe Biden's wife, Dr. Jill Biden. Jill also attended the bash alongside Jeanne Tripplehorn and Patricia Clarkson, who both star in the made-for-TV film. Jennifer executive produced the piece and directed one of the five segments. Jennifer's boyfriend, Justin Theroux, wasn't on hand despite having grown up in Washington DC, but he did step out last week for the NYC premiere of Five, which makes its debut on the small screen next Monday, Oct. 10.

Jennifer Aniston posed in a sexy lace top and vest at the premiere of Lifetime's Five in NYC tonight. She directed one of the five short films, which highlight how friends and families deal with breast cancer, and promoted the project earlier today with an appearance on Good Morning America. Jennifer had her man, Justin Theroux, for support at this evening's event, though he waited inside with pal Terry Richardson and joked that no one cares about him while Jennifer worked the press line. Jennifer shared that her favorite thing about being in the Big Apple is the people as she headed into the screening. Also on hand for the special evening were Demi Moore and Alicia Keys, who each contributed their own shorts for the small screen.

Anne Hathaway Talks About Her "Best" Boyfriend at the NYC Premiere of One Day

Anne Hathaway wore Alexander McQueen last night to the NYC premiere of her new movie One Day. She laughed with costar Jim Sturgess on the red carpet, but was apparently happy to chat all about her real-life love. Anne Hathaway spoke about boyfriend Adam Shulman, saying, "I'm a romantic at heart - he's the best. . . . I couldn’t say enough about him." Adam didn't pose with Anne at the screening, though, and she hung with her movie buddies at the after party held inside the Russian Tea Room. For the bash, Anne changed into a nude gown from Carven. Anne was able to promote her big screen romance during a break from wearing her Catwoman costume for The Dark Knight Rises. Anne also spoke yesterday about fan reactions to seeing her in the suit. She said, "What I am happy to say is, if you didn't like the photo, you only see about a 10th of what that suit can do. And if you did like the photo, you have excellent taste."

Justin and Mila Soak Up the Benefits of Cancun's Film Festival

Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, wearing a flirty Monique Lhuillier dress, were joined by their Friends With Benefits costar Patricia Clarkson and director Will Gluck at the Cancun Film Festival yesterday. It's been a jet-setting week for Justin, who flew to Phoenix for Monday's MLB All-Star game and then mingled with the world's best athletes at Wednesday's ESPY Awards in LA. During the show, Justin made another joke about his favorite beverage of choice, beer, and handed out an award alongside NFL player Aaron Rodgers. Justin's other new movie, Bad Teacher, also debuted at the festival over the weekend with his pal Cameron Diaz rolling solo for the photocall. Friends With Benefits is the latest comedy from Gluck since his Easy A. Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen Couple Up For a Big Apple Screening

Rachel McAdams and her Midnight in Paris costars wrapped up their visit to the Cannes Film Festival and headed back to NYC, where they attended a Cinema Society-sponsored screening of the upcoming Woody Allen comedy at the Soho Grand. Woody was there to pose for photos with Rachel, as was her real-life leading man Michael Sheen. Many of their other cast members were in France, but it seems Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, and Léa Seydoux sat out the latest press event. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, along with Sofia Coppola and Rachel Roy, did come out to see the movie. Rachel, though, was happy to smile for photographers in a long, white Louis Vuitton gown, but she changed into a black jumpsuit for the afterparty also held in the hotel. Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen were among the cutest couples at Cannes while promoting their own project and checking out the debut of Sleeping Beauty. Their travels on behalf of the big-screen endeavor will wrap up when it arrives in theaters Friday, but hopefully there's lots more of Rachel and Michael's adorable PDA to come.

4 Reasons Why the New Friends With Benefits Trailer Is Better Than the First

The first trailer for Friends With Benefits, the sexy romantic comedy starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis as single friends who start a romance-free physical relationship, went right for the raunch. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but now there's a second, new trailer, and I'm so psyched to say that this preview makes the movie look sweeter, funnier, and just plain better. (Whether it'll be better than the remarkably similar January release No Strings Attached with Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher remains to be seen.) Here's why:

It's funnier. I definitely laughed at the first trailer, but this clip has so many more bits I appreciated. And they come evenly from Kunis and Timberlake, proving that they make an excellent comedy team as well as a ridiculously good-looking couple.
It's not trying so hard. Unlike the first trailer, it doesn't rely on nudity or F-bombs to intrigue its audience.
The supporting cast gets their due. We finally get to see Andy Samberg and Emma Stone as Kunis and Timberlake's exes, respectively. Other actors I love are also revealed, including Woody Harrelson as JT's BFF and Patricia Clarkson as Kunis's mom.
Timberlake sings Kriss Kross. Extra points rewarded for the authentic-seeming vintage photo in that scene.

Anne, Natalie, and Mila Unite For the Gotham Independent Film Awards

Many of Hollywood's leading ladies stepped out in NYC last night for the annual Gotham Independent Film Awards. Anne Hathaway celebrated her appointment as cohost of next year's Oscars in her Dolce & Gabbana dress, and she spoke about her excitement over the honor. She said, "I found out that I'm one of three women to host since . . . I think it was 1987. Maybe I'm the fourth, I'm not sure. I'm still learning all the amazing statistics that I almost don't want to know because it gets a little bit too intimidating." Black Swan's Natalie Portman, in a piece from Lanvin for H&M, and an Oscar de la Renta-sporting Mila Kunis were there to watch as their director, Darren Aronofsky, took home a prize for his work - check out the evening's other winners. Leighton Meester was back in the US after a quick trip to Spain to make a daring appearance in a Thom Browne suit along with a maxidress-wearing Amanda Peet and a Lanvin-clad Julianne Moore.

Easy A: Gets High Marks in Charm

In Easy A, our heroine Olive Pendergast says she wants her life to be like a John Hughes movie. It's a lofty aspiration considering Hughes's reputation as the teen movie master, but it's one that the film unapologetically strives for with a playful wink. You have the alluring love interest à la Sixteen Candles (played here by Penn Badgley), Ferris Bueller-inspired shower karaoke, and a witty red-headed leading lady who is seemingly oblivious to her own coolness.

Emma Stone plays Olive, a teen homebody who's mistakenly branded as the school's own Hester Prynne after lying to her BFF (Aly Michalka) about losing her virginity. When the self-righteous religious club leader (Amanda Bynes) overhears, it's not long before everyone knows about Olive's supposed fling. Enter Brandon (Cougar Town's Dan Byrd), a bullied closeted gay student. Olive pretends to have sex with him to help his reputation, and she becomes the Mother Teresa of social outcasts, offering imaginary makeouts and boob fondling to help geeks up their popularity. When her charade spirals out of control, she's left without friends. To find out why I loved it,

Never before has Stone been required to carry a film, and she handles it with aplomb. The actress is perfectly convincing as a sharp-tongued girl who rattles off pop culture references as often as SAT words. Stone handles the vulnerability of her character's moral conflict (should she help others if it means hurting herself?) with ease, and of course it helps having an excellent ensemble to back her up. As Olive's parents, Stanley Tucci and Patricia Clarkson nearly steal the show as a goofy, loving couple who are genuinely friends with their daughter. Thomas Haden Church plays Olive's sarcastic, "cool" teacher, and Lisa Kudrow as his wife gets to be a guidance counselor who's delightfully crazy.

Thanks to its cast, the movie goes beyond your typical high school comedy, and even cutesy high school dialogue feels more endearing than irritating. It may not go down in history like the works of John Hughes, but in the company of more recent school movies, Easy A easily makes the grade.

Movie Preview: Emma Stone Gets a Bad Reputation in Easy A

Prepare to be refreshed: for every dozen lackluster comedies, a diamond in the rough emerges, and by the looks of this trailer, that diamond could be Easy A. Emma Stone is at home in the starring role of the high school comedy - somewhat of a modern-day version of The Scarlet Letter - as Olive, a high school nobody. Her standing at school suddenly changes when she pretends to sleep with a gay classmate (Cougar Town's Dan Byrd) as an act of goodwill so their peers will stop torturing him. The lie soon snowballs, and her rep becomes both scandalized and impossible to ignore.

The premise is made all the better by the funny preview - it definitely smacks of Mean Girls, both in setting and humor (sample Olive quip: "I fake rocked your world"). Factor in the many famous faces in the film, like Penn Badgley, Amanda Bynes, Lisa Kudrow, plus Patricia Clarkson and Stanley Tucci as Olive's parents, and I'm ready to slap on a scarlet "E" for excited.
