On Friday, Paul Newman passed away at the age of 83 in his home in CT with friends and family by his side. In this slideshow, we take a look back at the Hollywood legend and philanthropist who touched so many lives. From striking a pose in the Florida Keys during his directorial debut, Rachel Rachel, to helping sick children and donating multi-millions from his various charities, Paul Newman lived an amazingly full life, and he will be greatly missed.

Last night the legendary screen actor and philanthropist passed away at the age of 83. Paul was surrounded by friends and family when he passed at his home in Westport, CT, after battling cancer. Few details were released by his publicist just as his illness was kept under the radar since suspicions rose earlier this year.

She sat down with Dave to talk about his recent wedding, as well as her participation in a benefit for her friend Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang camp. After posing for photos on the red carpet, Julia Roberts, Casey Affleck, Bruce Willis, and Tom Hanks were just a handful of the A-listers who performed last night in honor of Paul Newman. Joined on stage by the children from the Painted Turtle Camp, the actors got into costume and character as Jack Nicholson narrated The World of Nick Adams. While remembering Paul was a key element of the night, there were also plenty of jokes.
