Love was in the air on the set of Gossip Girl in NYC yesterday. Leighton Meester and Penn Badgley kissed during a scene on the Upper East Side while Chace Crawford and Ella Rae Peck had their own intimate moment for the cameras on the Big Apple streets. Blake Lively wasn't spotted in character, but she's been busy with the series while her boyfriend Ryan Reynolds has been promoting his new movie overseas. Ryan and Blake will have a chance to reunite since Ryan's press tour for Safe House heads to NYC this week. Penn Badgley and Leighton Meester, aka Dan and Blair, were caught in a very public lip-lock on the set of the show in NYC this week. Of course, not everything on Gossip Girl is what it appears to be (this could very well be a dream sequence), but the show's writers have skirted this romance for long enough, so we're choosing to believe in it. Blake Lively and Penn Badgley Celebrate 100 Gossip Girl Episodes With Mayor Bloomberg

Blake Lively and Penn Badgley linked up with NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg this afternoon to celebrate Gossip Girl's 100th episode at Silver Cup Studios in Queens. Michael issued a Mayoral Proclamation to mark the milestone for the series, which has brought jobs and acclaim to the Big Apple during its five-year run. Michael and his Media & Entertainment Commissioner Katherine Oliver also announced that 2011 was a record-setting year for small-screen production in NYC. Twenty-three series were filmed there, as opposed to just nine a decade ago. The mayor joked today, "Here's a hot tip for Gossip Girl: Spotted - 100,000 New Yorkers making a living from the film and television industry."

The success of Gossip Girl has been great for Blake's career, but she may have hit a minor speed bump with one of her rumored new projects. Blake might not be in The Side Effects, a Steven Soderbergh project she was linked to along with Jude Law and Channing Tatum. Due to some disagreements among the producers, Soderbergh may have to go with a different leading lady.

Zoe Kravitz and Penn Badgley Let Loose With PBR at an Art Party

Zoe Kravitz and Penn Badgley stepped out last night for the launch of artist Aaron Stern's photography book Everyone Must Be Announced at NYC's Milk Gallery. There wasn't much Zoe Kravitz and Penn Badgley PDA on display, but she did hit the dance floor to show off her moves while clutching a can of Pabst Blue Ribbon. Other friends of Aaron's like Alexa Chung, musician Tennessee Thomas, and former Boardwalk Empire star Aleksa Palladino were on hand. Alexa Chung was the DJ but had enough free time to joke around and pose for photos. Zoe and Penn have been going strong for nearly four months, and we're sure to see lots more of them making the party rounds when New York Fashion Week - and its many parties – kicks off on Feb. 9.

Zoe Kravitz and Penn Badgley got close for a kiss in NYC over the weekend. They stopped for PDA after shopping at a bookstore, where Penn picked up a few titles including Kurt Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle and Richard Alpert's LSD.

Penn and Zoe escaped the Big Apple for the warmer weather of Miami over the holidays. They lounged poolside at their hotel and showed affection while swimming. Zoe's bikini body was on display while Penn went shirtless and let his long hair down in the water. He's still rocking the wild 'do, though we'll have to wait and see if he keeps the style for his small screen character when Gossip Girl returns next week.

Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle did as well. The latest Gossip Girl episode was as full of drama and OMG moments as back when the show started in 2007. The Upper East Siders have come a long way since then, though, with recent pictures from the set showing Leighton's Blair Waldorf as a runaway bride!
