Men of all ages wore basic black and white last night at the Oscars. The biggest decision was bowtie or long tie, unless we're talking about Mickey Rourke who stood out in his bright white suit, proving once again he is doing things his way. Brad added more facial hair, upgrading his mustache to full-on goatee.

Yesterday Michelle Williams lit up the red carpet at the premiere of Adoration at Cannes and today she was promoting her own film, Synecdoche, New York with co-stars Catherine Keener and Philip Seymour Hoffman by her side. (Buzz has a couple of movie clips here) Michelle went casual for the photocall before slipping into another gown for the big premiere. It's great to see her out at events again, and while she's only in town for a quick two days, she's looking to make a few memories.

Before the Oscars rushed in, Hollywood celebrated at the Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday night. Angelina's baby bump was the talk of the town, but Cate Blanchett was the only mommy-to-be to take home a trophy. Ellen Page also scored one of the three awards that went to Juno, and you can check out the full list of winners here.

Last night's NYC screening of Charlie Wilson's War was a formal affair with not a whole lot of color at all on the red carpet. Tom Hanks was there with one of his costars and fellow Golden Globe nominees, Philip Seymour Hoffman, but not Julia Roberts. While their leading lady wasn't around, a breakthrough redheaded actress with a gorgeous smile (and GG acting nominee) Amy Adams looked great in her LBD.

Ethan Hawke, Marisa Tomei and Philip Seymour Hoffman hit the red carpet and after party to celebrate the premiere of their new movie Before the Devil Knows You're Dead. Seeing Marisa and Ethan feels like a blast from the past, but we've got to give them credit — Marisa's pocketed dress is fab and Ethan cleaned up well (finally). Sheryl Crow also stopped by to check out the movie before she hit the Keep a Child Alive Black Ball.

It was another day of red carpets at the Toronto Film Festival, and this time there were a few new stars to add to the mix. Rachel McAdams was a welcome — but sadly date-free — fresh face at the premiere of Che, as was Emmanuelle Chriqui in her cute LBD. Mark Ruffalo and Adrien Brody goofed around while Rachel Weisz looked gorgeous in her bandage dress as the trio kept on promoting The Brothers Bloom.
