Patrick Swayze Passes Away at 57

Patrick Swayze passed away today at home with his family. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2008 and his condition took a turn for the worse earlier this year. He was 57 years old. Swayze is survived by his wife, who he's been with since he was 18 years old, Lisa Niemi. Patrick has a very special place in our hearts for many of his movies like Ghost and Point Break to name a couple, but perhaps most of all for Dirty Dancing. Our thoughts are with his loved ones, and he will be missed.

DJ AM Found Dead

Adam Goldstein, aka DJ AM, was found dead today in his NYC apartment. TMZ reported the news that he was found this afternoon at 5:20 p.m. He was 36 years old.

Apparently his friends hadn't heard from him in days and when one went over to check on him, AM didn't answer the door. The friend called the cops, who entered the apartment and found his body. According to reports, there was drug paraphernalia found at the scene.

It was slightly under a year ago that he survived a plane crash with his friend Travis Barker on Sept. 19, 2008. This story is heartbreaking and we will keep you updated as details emerge. Our thoughts are with his friends and loved ones.

Director John Hughes Dies at 59

Legendary director John Hughes passed away earlier this morning, after suffering a heart attack. The man behind films like 16 Candles, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and The Breakfast Club was in NYC visiting family and friends. He was 59. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

Michael Jackson's friends and family, as well as more than 17,000 fans, headed into the Staples Center this morning to celebrate the pop star's life and honor his memory. Many of us watched the event, which was filled with speeches and performances from those who loved Michael and knew him best.

Michael Jackson's Memorial Mayhem Begins in LA

The circus has begun surrounding Michael Jackson's funeral events today in Los Angeles. Fans from around the world are pouring in to pay their respects, though only 17,500 were lucky enough to win tickets in the lottery to attend. Last night the Jackson family gathered for a viewing at Forest Lawn cemetery, where Michael will be laid to rest, and they were there again this morning for a private service preceding today's spectacle. The entire thing is being broadcast live, starting with the procession through LA's shutdown streets - find out how and where to watch it all here. Michael's body will be front and center at the Staples Center memorial, where performances include Usher, Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Hudson, Mariah Carey, and more.

Appearances are also expected from stars like Kobe Bryant, Brooke Shields, Lionel Ritchie, and John Mayer. One person who will not be there is Michael's good friend Elizabeth Taylor, who shared her feelings on her Twitter page. The day - from closing down streets to security measures - is rumored to be costing the city of LA around $4 million. He was a legend, famous almost all his life. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones, especially his children.

Farrah Fawcett Passes Away

Farrah Fawcett passed away this morning at St. John’s Heath Center in Santa Monica, CA. The iconic Charlie's Angels star was 62 and had been battling cancer since 2006. In recent months her condition took a turn for the worse. Her longtime partner Ryan O'Neal was by her side and over the weekend declared their intentions to wed in her final days. Farrah was known for being beautiful both inside and out - she will be missed. Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones at this difficult time.

Ryan O'Neal gave a statement to People saying: "She's gone. She now belongs to the ages. She's now with her mother and sister and her God. I loved her with all my heart. I will miss her so very, very much. She was in and out of consciousness. I talked to her all through the night. I told her how very much I loved her. She's in a better place now. She was with her team when she passed ... Her eyes were open, but she didn't say anything. But you could see in her eyes that she recognized us."
