Rachel Zoe Sends Her Latest Collection Down the Fashion Week Runway

Rachel Zoe had a busy weekend at NYFW. In addition to checking out the Diane von Furstenberg, Skaist-Taylor, and Derek Lam shows, she presented her own Rachel Zoe Collection Saturday at the Empire Hotel. Stars like Olivia Palermo and Mary Alice Stephenson turned out to see Rachel's designs, which were inspired by '60s London and icons like Marianne Faithfull and Mick Jagger. We caught up with Rachel just before she sent her creations, which included wrap dresses, textured suites, and red carpet-ready gowns, down the runway. In addition to her styling work, inspirations, and famous clients, Rachel Zoe spoke about her start in fashion. She said, "I'm gonna say, when I started reading Vogue, and I looked at the work of Grace Coddington. And I thought, 'I want to do that.'" Rachel celebrated at night with her loved ones. She tweeted a photo of their low-key meal, and wrote, "Celebrating post show with Deluscious cookies with friends and family! Perfect way to end a special day."

True to the Rachel Zoe manifesto, her Fall '12 lineup delivered a unique mix of nostalgic and contemporary-cool pieces. Inspired by the rock 'n' roll glamour of 1960s London - think Mick Jagger and Marianne Faithfull - the collection boasted all the trademark elements of that oh-so-cool era. Knit minidresses, sequined gowns with updated twists, tailored menswear-inspired suits in jewel-toned velvets and tweeds, and an arsenal of must-have shaggy faux fur coats set the retro tone without ever seeming outdated. To top off these sweet rocker looks, the models also showed off something entirely new to the Zoe brand: chunky art-deco jewelry and cozy-chic Winter accessories. Translation? She's given us even more reason to accent our cold-weather attire with luxe snoods, statement collar necklaces, and bold fur cossacks. While the effortless feel of Rachel Zoe's collection may be rooted in old-school shapes and silhouettes, her execution proved that she's designing for a modern woman with a playful penchant for stylish throwbacks.

Rachel Zoe Adds Jewelry and Cozy Accessories to Her Growing Brand

Rachel Zoe is a busy woman, juggling The Rachel Zoe Project (which has not yet been renewed for season five), her signature Rachel Zoe collection, a line for QVC, 10-month-old baby Skyler, and a new television production company called Rachel Zoe Productions - but that's not stopping her from doing more. Zoe has plans to launch two new categories to her signature line: costume jewelry and cold-weather accessories. Highlighting her love for vintage baubles, Zoe's jewelry line is art-deco inspired, highlighting tassel necklaces and earrings along with a "Love Me Knots” category, with knot-embellished hoop earrings, cuff bracelets, and necklaces priced between $195 and $695.

Zoe's cold-weather accessories are set to include real and faux fur hats, hoods, scarves, gloves, and statement-making stoles. "I have this obsession with what women wear in Russia," said Zoe. "The funny thing is that I don't know because I've never been there. But it's what I dream about." The jewelry collection will be exclusively available at Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman in stores and online; availability on the cold-weather accessories is still not determined. Ten-month-old Skyler was a contrast in a white onesie. Rachel and her husband Rodger Berman are coming up to Skyler's first birthday in just under two months! The little guy will have his first party on March 23.

Yesterday, Rachel was among the many people who watched the SAG Awards. She actually tweeted about the ladies' fashion on the SAG red carpet, declaring that she had two favorites. Rachel's sartorial votes went to a Givenchy haute couture-wearing Zoe Saldana, as well as a McQueen-clad Emma Stone.

Rachel Zoe Accepts a Visionary Award From Anne Hathaway

Rachel Zoe and her husband Rodger Berman were among the celebrities who turned out for last night's Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center benefit at Sunset Tower. Mandy Moore, in Lela Rose, also posed on the black carpet, and inside, Rachel made the rounds with her good friend, and client, Anne Hathaway, as well as former San Francisco mayor Gavin Newsom. Anne presented the first annual Visionary Award to Rachel, and the two laughed and shared a hug onstage. Both ladies wore vintage gowns from Decades. Anne was decked out in Christian Dior haute couture, and Rachel donned Versace.

The presentation was followed by a silent auction held to raise funds for the organization's homeless youth services. Rachel tweeted afterward that it had been "The most amazing night surrounded by the most amazing friends." There was another reason for Rachel to celebrate - she just crossed the one million Twitter followers mark!
