Lindsay's Back to Her Old Tricks, Some New Ones

Here are some more shots from Lindsay's controversial spread in the June/July issue of Radar Magazine. Of course what's LL without a little controversy? You'd think she would have laid low a little this weekend while vacationing with latest boy toy Calum Best in the Bahamas but rumor has it she was partying as much as ever. The two took in a Janet Jackson concert on Friday night, after which she was seen at the Atlantis' Aura night club with "a cigarette in one hand and a bottle of Jack Daniels in the other." Her man was also seen smoking a dubious substance so it's not like he's helping any. Obviously she's the same old bad girl Lindsay updated with a summer fling to help her indulge in all her addictive behaviors. Sounds like we are in for an exciting summer. Stay tuned.

Okay, Who Gave Lohan the Firearm?

Despite recently admitting that she would be sad without paparazzi attention, Lindsay Lohan is out, gun blazing on the June cover of RADAR Magazine.

The little vixen -- who posed with a series of weapons during the photoshoot, including a flamethrower and a submachine gun -- reportedly posed for this cover because she wants "people to pay attention."

While she is not actually in the article, there are more pictures of her inside. Judging from this one, they won't be tame.

So what do you guys think, does Linds look sexy and badass? Or is mixing sex and violence in this way the wrong message to send young women? Or is it just silly considering we know that she really loves the paparazzi's attention?

Jim Carrey: Crazy Genius or Just Crazy?

Jim Carrey has worn a lot of hats in his career, stunning impersonator, shaggy haired eccentric, slapstick comedian, children's book caricature, and that's just the beginning. In recent years, the man who immortalized the phrase "laces out" has been somewhat of a recluse, with rumors of on-set "diva-like" behavior and "obsessive" tendencies following him from project to project. While he seems to have settled down and found something like love with Jenny McCarthy (over a shared passion for fabulous hair, of course), his past few movies have all been cancelled before coming to life, and his newest film, The Number 23, is independent and dark, hardly a typical Jim Carrey vehicle. In the upcoming Radar Magazine, they break down the mystique of Jim Carrey, and try to answer the question of whether he will ever return to his Dumb and Dumber roots:

As he [shot a scene in 23], Carrey wrote on walls. He wrote on himself. And then, as the cameras rolled, he unzipped his fly and urinated. That last part wasn't in the script. Perhaps if Carrey weren't himself obsessed with the number 23, or if he didn't have a reputation for being both dark and obsessive, taking a leak on the set would have simply been regarded as an admirable commitment to his role–which is how dirrector Joel Schumacher sees it: "If Brando had done it in the early days, or De Niro, it would now be considered genius because they stayed in character."
"He's a tough guy to get along with, but he's not a dick," says a writer who's worked with him. "He doesn't kick people so he can feel better about himself."
"I've never seen a more meticulous re–hearser," adds director Brad Silberling (Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events). What appears to be an off-the-cuff performance "is like choreography.…He spends an unbelievable amount of time at home, alone, rehearsing."
Whispers about his behavior became painfully public during the filming of his last comedy, 2005's Fun with Dick and Jane, on which Carrey's delays and demands caused the budget to balloon dramatically. Production on the film was so traumatic that Dean Parisot, its genial director, began referring to the project as "Fun with Jane."

As a huge Jim Carrey fan, it's fascinating (if not, at times, troubling) to get a glimpse into his personal struggles with his craft and the feelings of those who have worked closely with him throughout the years. No doubt there will be many different Jim Carreys in the years ahead, and I can't wait to see any of his incarnations. And if I don't see you, good afternoon, good evening and good night.

Radar Sneak Peek: These Guys Are Poison

Radar Magazine is back, and from the looks of it, the third time might just be the charm for the smart-alec (or at least that's what my mom would call it) gossip-y rag. I'm here to bring you a sneak peek of the premiere issue of attempt tres--a list of the most Toxic Bachelors around. Take notes, ladies, 'cause you need all the protection from these guys you can find. The article is full of some great gems (Moby slept with Natalie Portman when she was 20? Who knew?) and fun facts about these lecherous men and their, ahem, assets (oh, get your mind out of the gutter, they're talking things like Colin Farrell's accent). Here's a taste:

Joe Francis
Sexual assault allegations seem to follow the flesh merchant wherever he goes. In 2003 Francis was arrested in Panama City, Florida, for allegedly filming two 17-year-olds engaged in sexual activity...Despite his rep, Francis has managed to squeeze some "wild" out of higher-shelf talent like Kimberly Stewart, Lindsay Lohan and Jimmy Choo president Tamara Mellon [ed note: Uh, Paris, too].

Here's a report from another Piven pal: "At a party at our house, he ended up getting it on with some girl in the hot tub on our deck. My boyfriend was making margaritas and almost got electrocuted from the wave of water that splashed over the side from all the movement. [Piven's] favorite thing to say was, 'if masturbation is a crime, then I should be on death row.'"

Moby might speak softly, but according to downtown butterfly, the business cards he's been known to hand out at parties say it all: "I really, really, really, really...Want to f*** you."
Colin Farrell
Since his arrival stateside he's worked his way through the young and trashy set, from Paris to Britney to Lindsay, and a battery of models, including one who bore him a son. As he told W magazine, "When I come to town I [bleep] everything I can."

Radar Magazine - It's finally coming?

It was one of my first stories on Popsugar. I am not the only one eagerly awaiting the re-launch of this magazine. They teased us last year with only 2 issues, but Gawker reports it is finally coming back - first online and then the print to follow. Looking forward to seeing the actual product soon.

Copy Cat and/or Recycled Radar?

Here's a better image of the upcoming Radar issue hitting newsstands August 18th. The cover image was created by George Lois who also created the similar 1968 Esquire cover with Muhammed Ali.

This tells me that this issue is already off to a weak start. Kurt Andersen reviewed the first issue of the relaunched Radar as a "A Very Familiar Magazine" because most of the stories could be found in any general lifestyle magazine and the other half of the stories were recycled ideas. Andersen said, "Radarâ€™s Four Seasons VIP seating map is reminiscent of Spyâ€™s Russian Tea Room VIP seating map." He has a longer list of examples like that one, but it gives you the idea that cover images are the same to these guys.

Lois seemed to have no problem recreating his controversial cover to include Tom. He also thinks covers today suck read more becuase, "You can't just slap a picture of Nicole Kidman on your cover and expect people to say, 'Wow! What a cover!' It's just another picture of Nicole. Who gives a shit?" Seems like someone is pissed off that celebrities sell instead of a more artistic approach to covers. People just aren't that deep anymore.

Does LC Deserve to Be No. 1 on Fashion's New Power Posse?

Radar magazine rolled out a list of who they think makes up fashion's new "power posse." Lauren Conrad scored the top spot, followed by the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs, and Anna Wintour. LC definitely stands out on that list of fashion icons, so tell us - does she deserve to be No. 1 in the new fashion power posse?

Teri Says She's The Same Old

Teri may have had a second coming since she became a desperate housewife, but she claims she continues to live the simple life. She makes it sound like fame has not gotten to her head. She even plays around with the paparazzi by teaching her daughter Emerson Rose how to deal with them. She says:

"I think I live a very under-the-radar life. I still live in the same house. I still drive the same car. I get up, take my daughter to school, come home, have a shower, and go to work. Then I try to be home to cook dinner. "That doesn't change, no matter what magazine cover I'm on or what country the show is on in around the world."

It's good that Teri is trying to keep things in perspective but for some reason when she says stuff like this it just annoys me. No normal person does a magazine cover or has to teach her kid how to turn the cameras on the paparazzi. Maybe in LA that may seem like the norm. For more pics just read more
