Introducing the New Cast of Dancing With the Stars!

The 12th season of Dancing With the Stars is just around the corner, which means ABC has compiled yet another motley crew to go head-to-head (or should I say "toe to toe"?). We've got most of the typical types here: the reality star (Kendra Wilkinson), the supermodel (Petra Nemcova), and the football player (Hines Ward), to name a few. I think Ralph Macchio may already be my number one pick to watch, but find out who else is competing and tell me who you'll be rooting for when the season starts on March 21!

The Smiths Make Supporting Their Karate Kid a Family Affair

The entire Pinkett Smith family was out last night for the premiere of Jaden's new movie, The Karate Kid. Will and Jada were inseparable on the red carpet when they weren't posing with fans, family, and old friends like The Fresh Prince of Bel Air's Tatyana Ali. The evening belonged to Jaden and his costar Jackie Chan, as well as the original film's karate kid, Ralph Macchio. Jaden is having quite the week after the MTV Movie Awards where he joked about his ladies' man status and fought with Tom Cruise in the Les Grossman opening. Jaden may be becoming quite the celebrity just like his parents, but he apparently still feels as though his sister Willow usually gets more attention - during fights, he said, "I scream for my mom. She usually takes Willow's side. My dad takes Willow's side, too. That's why I usually hang out with my brother." Will has lately focused on playing the role of doting husband and father, but he's rumored be considering returning to the Men in Black franchise, this time in 3D.

Stars and Couples Retreat to the Red Carpet For LA Premiere

The stars of Couples Retreat descended on the red carpet in LA last night to promote the ensemble comedy. Kristen Bell and Malin Akerman showed off their legs in short and sweet dresses, but the ladies were minus one since Kristin Davis is back east working on SATC2. It wasn't all about the women, however, as Jason Bateman, Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn hammed it up for the cameras. Dax Shepard was there to support his girlfriend Kristen and the group all laughed it up during the afterparty. If their friendly demeanor offscreen is any indication, we're in for a hilarious ride when the film hits theaters on Friday.

Here's an oldie but goodie that was so cool the first time around it spawned several sequels - including The Next Karate Kid, starring Hilary Swank. Dancing With the Stars - Still Into It or Over It?

Dancing With the Stars kicks off yet another round of dips, twirls, and cha-cha-chas tonight as the show embarks on its twelfth season. I still can't believe it's survived so long! Over the years, the series has seen a few memorable faces take the dance floor, but more often than not, the cast is full of lesser-known names. The structure is always the same: you have at least one athlete, a former child star, a comedian - you know the drill. It's a recipe that obviously works, but it's also pretty predictable.

Tonight, 11 new competitors will try their luck and skill, and going into it, I'm honestly only excited about one or two of them (Ralph Macchio!). Perhaps I'll get sucked in once I actually watch, but I'll be curious to see how much longer the show can keep relying on the same formula before fans get bored (perhaps they could take a tip from the new American Idol and mix things up). What are your feelings on the show?
