Maggie Has a Big Movie, a Big Heart and a Growing Ramona

Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard took their confident little walker, Ramona, out for a stroll in Brooklyn yesterday. Looks like the little one is already getting into the spring spirit in her pink dress - how much does she look like both her parents? Kinda incredible. As big as she's getting, Ramona is still a bit too little to check out her mama's big summer movie, The Dark Knight. Speaking of which, have you seen the new trailer? Creepy and awesome. While Maggie's movies may be on the adult end, her charitable side is good for any age. She teamed up with Real Simple and Design on a Dime for their annual charity event. Sweethearts of all sizes in that family.

Maggie & Jake Push Ramona Around NY

Come on now, awwwwwwww. Uncle Jake! Hot uncle Jake at that! He and Maggie took a walk with little Ramona by the water in NYC this week. Which is just about the most precious thing ever. Okay, I say that a lot, most precious thing today at least. Jake's talked about how much he enjoys being an uncle (and some of the less pleasant aspects of it, too) so it's no surprise that he's taking the helm of the stroller. What can I say? There's just something about a man who loves his family.

Peter and Maggie Keep Ramona Dry on a Wet NY Walk

Well, don't Peter and Maggie just look thrilled out on a walk in snowy New York with their adorable little Ramona? At least I assume that's what they're pushing in the stroller. Otherwise, weird. They may not be looking as glamorous as they did at the Oscars, but M&P are just as fabulous as ever in their matching fur/"fur" trimmed coats, braving the elements, and just hanging out with their precious little family.

Ramona Sarsgaard-Gyllenhaal Dines Out

Maggie and Pete brought their little bebe Ramona Sarsgaard-Gyllenhaal* out to dinner in Hollywood this weekend. Is it just me or is the baby totally taking after her dad in the looks department? Uh, I'm sure we'll see more of Maggie in her as she grows up. The family is quite precious, of course, but we're really thinking that the presence of Uncle Jake would spice up the get together. Just a thought.

*Seriously, that kid is never going to be able to spell her own name. BTW, anyone else remember that SNL with Peter Sarsgaard at the Pirate Convention? Pretty funny.

Maggie Takes Out Ramona

Peter stopped by Sundance while Maggie and Ramona had brunch with a friend at Ammo. Maggie is usually really careful about keeping her from being photographed and in fact she recently refused to talk to People Magazine about Ramona saying, "I don't really want to talk about my personal life to People. You guys have been really hard on us in New York." Hmm, wonder how she will feel about these pics of her family in LA. Well, we are happy to finally get a great shot of Ramona!

Looks like a walk is good for everyone after a weekend of holiday eating. The tight-knit family unit that is the Gyllenhaals were seen walking their daughter and their dog this weekend. Check out baby Ramona! Mommy Maggie is having quite the year. She's engaged, a new mommy, and her acting career continues to thrive. To top it off she just won the best actress award for her role in the film Sherrybaby at the Stockholm Film Festival this weekend. Here's more:

"Sherrybaby," directed by Laurie Collyer, was named best picture. Collyer won the Bronze Horse award for "a pure and heartbreaking work about survival and dignity," the festival jury said Sunday.

The film follows a young woman recently released from prison who tries to reconnect with her young daughter while confronting her old life and drug abuse.

"It takes you on a desperate quest for love, through a landscape of struggle, guilt and broken dreams which at times is hard to watch yet impossible to forget," the jury said.

Ramona's Bright Day Before Maggie's Dark Knight

Little Ramona looked like such a big girl in her adorable bright red sundress enjoying the LA sun with her parents Maggie and Peter yesterday. There's nothing quite like a ride on dad's shoulders to put that big old smile on her face. Her parents stayed more in the neutrals with their looks, but were every bit the gorgeous family walking around Venice Beach. The very first reviews for Maggie's The Dark Knight have started to come in and are thankfully great. We'll be seeing and hearing a lot more about this anticipated summer movie as the July release date draws closer, but needless to say we're excited to hear great things and can't wait to see it when it finally comes out.

Three Generations of Gyllenhaal Women Take Paris

Maggie Gyllenhaal took a stroll around Paris this weekend with her little girl Ramona and her mom, Naomi. In between Fashion Week fun Maggie made sure to show her little one the City of Lights. Lucky baby. Seriously though, how big is Ramona these days? And how much is she the spitting image of both Maggie and Peter? Last time we saw Ramona she was so tiny! The three ladies enjoyed the semi-springtime-y weather for their walk - especially Ramona with her little sweater poncho.

Maggie and Peter Are a Designing Duo

Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard pushed baby Ramona around sunny NYC on Tuesday. The couple keeps a pretty low profile, but they did find some time in their busy lives to participate in the annual Lunchbox Auction benefiting Food Bank For New York City and The Lunchbox Fund of South Africa. Loads of celebrities donated their own creations, and while these two did a collaboration it sounds like Maggie got to call all the shots. Peter said, "I wanted to dip it in wax and then light it on fire to see how it would turn out. But Maggie said that we only had one box and I wasn't allowed to do that."
