Wedding Bells Are Ringing For the Desperate Housewives

The ladies of Desperate Housewives were reunited on set yesterday in LA. Marcia Cross was decked out in navy blue as prim Bree, while Eva Longoria went bright in a typical Gabi hue. Felicity Huffman chatted with her onscreen husband Doug Savant, while newcomer Drea de Matteo brought her daughter Alabama to check out the scene. Last season ended with a surprise wedding, but the bride still remains a mystery as both Teri Hatcher and Dana Delany were sporting gowns for the afternoon of filming.

Eva Reminds Us That Desperate Times Are Back Tonight!

Eva Longoria grabbed some food - you know, because she's not pregnant, just fat - with her onscreen husband Ricardo Chavira between takes on the set of Desperate Housewives earlier this week. Ever since the season finale flash forward, we've been eagerly anticipating tonight's premiere, and now it's just a few hours away! From Susan's new man to Gaby's new hair and wardrobe, we're sure the ladies of Wisteria Lane will give us plenty to talk about tomorrow morning.

Gaby Gets Desperate While Eva Is Tony's Housewife

Eva Longoria was looking a little unpolished yesterday, but don't worry - it's just a part of Gaby's new look in the upcoming season of Desperate Housewives. Eva smiled and joked around with her on-screen hubby Ricardo Chavira and co-star Shawn Pyfrom while filming the show in LA. While we wait for the ladies of Wisteria Lane to come back in the Fall, in an interview with Latina magazine, Eva admitted that she herself enjoys playing housewife to Tony and more. Here's more:

On her marriage with Tony: "The wedding was absolutely magical. I wish I could have a wedding every year . . . I'm a 1950s housewife. I love baking. I love sewing. Being home with Tony. My mother was like that. Always took care of her husband. I always admired and wanted to do that . . . I make everything. His favorite dish is lemon pepper chicken with a lemon pasta sauce that I make. He could eat that everyday. I'm a big cook."
On her childhood: "We weren't allowed to eat out. My dad refused to let us eat at restaurants or fast food. Our big treat was Domino's pizza. We would sneak out and go get pizza . . . I paid for my cheerleading and everything [by working at Wendy's for six years]. It was like whatever you want to do outside of school, you have to pay for it. I never had a car because I was always trying to save."

On beginning her career: "I love pageants. In Texas, it's like the culture. If you're a woman, you have to do pageants. If you're a boy, you have to be a football player. In my pageant package, I won a trip to Hollywood to compete in a talent competition. And I said, I'm going to go. It would be fun to go for a week to Hollywood. So I came, and I never went home. I fell in love with L.A. I happened to become an actor and it was really all so fast. I didn't even go home to pack. I had my mom send my clothes. I never went back. "

Even if she can often be a bit much, sometimes we can't help but be won over by this former beauty queen's endearing quotes.

Ugly Betty Wins Big at the Imagen Awards

America Ferrera and Anna Ortiz were all smiles on the red carpet at the 22nd Annual Imagen Awards this weekend at the Disney Concert Hall. The ladies were surrounded by many other stars including Eva La Rue, Wilmer Valderrama and Desperate Housewives' Ricardo Antonio Chavira. The award show recognizes excellence in Latino entertainment. Ugly Betty took home the prize for best primetime TV program while its stars, America & Anna took home best TV actress and supporting TV actress. Could this be a preview for what's to come at the Primetime Emmy Awards?

Eva Gets a Lift From Her Fellow Housewives

Eva Longoria hosted a benefit called El Sueno De Esperanza (the dream for hope) in LA yesterday. Her costars Brenda Strong and Nicollette Sheridan as well as Jessica Alba came out to support the charity, which gives money to kids and families that have cancer. Eva kept relatively quiet about her personal life, aside from revealing that she and Tony aren't planning on having kids any time soon. That said, she was more than happy to talk about being proud of her heritage and supporting the Latino community. Here's more:

"My wedding dress was by (Venezuelan) Angel Sanchez, and I try to do my best to wear as many Latino designers as I can.

My husband (in the series) Ricardo Antonio Chavira and myself, we're very, very proud to represent Latinos everywhere, all over the world, and we're happy to see positive images of Latinos on television."

How cute is tiny Eva in between her Brenda and Nicollette? So much for all those bickering stories between co-stars. These girls are not only doing great things for their community but they always seem to be supporting one another.

Movieline's Hollywood Life Style Awards

Another week, another award show - this weekend it was the Movieline Life Style Awards and the red carpet certainly lived up to its name. Teri Hatcher was full of smiles, maybe because her DH character was acting a little bit less like a crazy on last night's episode. Cindy Crawford still steals the show, while another award show veteran, David Duchovny is looking better than ever these days - must be the success of his awesome Californication. The always adorable Becki Newton and Michael Urie from Ugly Betty were, naturally, cute as buttons. As for Vanessa, sadly she wasn't able to drag Nick along. Though considering it's football season, I'm sure we'll be seeing them together in the stands soon.

An ESPY-cially Fun Awards Show

Hollywood got a whole lot more athletic at last night's ESPY Awards, and the fun and glamor certainly didn't stop at the red carpet. Jimmy Kimmel and LeBron James hosted the evening, while the stage held court for some interesting pairings - Carmen and Shaun White? Josh Duhamel and Maria Sharapova? Actually kinda hot. The San Diego Chargers' LaDainian Tomlinson and University of Arizona Softball's Taryn Mowatt took home the Male and Female Athletes of the year. It's always fun to see our favorite athletes off the field in into some fancy wear, right?

ESPY Awards Bring Athletes to Hollywood

Last night athletes and actors came together for the ESPY Awards in LA but we won't get to watch the show until it airs on ESPN this Sunday. That doesn't mean we can't enjoy all the fabulous images of the fittest celebs from the event. Shaquille O'Neal who is currently working on his Big Challenge, came with his petite wife. I guess anyone looks tiny next to the big man. Co-host LeBron James looked flashy on the red carpet but once inside he shared the spotlight with Jimmy Kimmel. Brunette actresses Carmen Electra and Jamie-Lynn Sigler looked great while Kate Walsh was SO gold it makes me want to squint my eyes. Ashley Judd looked beautiful on the arm of her Indy 500 winning hubby Dario Franchitti. Andy Roddick has seen better days. Period. Even Indy race driver Danica Patrick got into the Hollywood spirit. Do you like her glam look ?

Eva is Sick of Being Naked

Eva is begging Desperate Housewives to stop making her take baths on the show. She says she hates spending all day naked in the water, and is tired of stripping her clothes off while all the male stars check out her body. If Desperate Housewives eliminates Eva's steamy scenes, their ratings might become even worse than they are now. Here's more:

"I didn't realize how much lingerie I'd be in and how much time I'd spend in the bathtub. I actually had to go to the director and go, 'Can you please stop putting me in the bathtub?' It's a pain in the butt to shoot. You're naked and they just fill it up with bubbles and basically they put body make-up on you so you look beautifully tanned with flawless skin and then it just comes off in the water so you're sitting in this brown water all day. There have been times when they do all the tub scenes in one day, so I go out and in comes Ricardo (Chavira), then in comes Jesse (Metcalfe). I'm like 'Guys, can we space out the tub scenes?'"
