Adrian, Richard, Heath and Elle Were There Last Night

All sorts of on screen Bob Dylans (but not the man himself) came out for a screening of I'm Not There in NYC last night. Three of the movie's Bobs - Richard Gere, Heath Ledger and Marcus Carl Franklin - met up on the red carpet, while Adrian Grenier just paid homage to the iconic artist with his big hair. Elle Macpherson looked like a rock star herself with her hot leather jacket. As for Julianne Moore, I'm just happy she's a redhead again. Check back at the end of the week to see what Buzz thinks about I'm Not There - at this point I think it looks like it could be either awesome or terrible but probably nothing in between, you?

Hollywood Awards Afflecks, Travolta, Hairspray and More

The Affleck brothers were the men of the hour at last night's Hollywood Film Festival's Hollywood Awards. Brad Pitt handed Casey Affleck the award for Breakthrough Actor of the Year (an honor bestowed on one Miss Lindsay Lohan last year) while Ben walked away with one the Breakthrough Director of the Year. That's the second year in a row on this stage for Ben (last year he won Supporting Actor), but it must have been that much sweeter to share the press room with Casey. John Travolta also walked away with this year's Supporting Actor statue and shared the Ensemble win with the rest of his Hairspray cast. Meanwhile, CZJ didn't go home with any honors, but yowza on the dress. Let Award Season begin!

Hollywood Film Festival Is a Family Affair

Ben headed back to the west coast to reunite with his brother Casey but this time it wasn't to do more promotional work for their film, Gone Baby Gone. Last night at the Hollywood Film Festival both brothers were honored (but more on that soon). They partnered up for the red carpet walk where they shared the floor with the beautiful Janet Jackson and adorable Amanda Bynes who was also there with her many Hairspray co-stars. John Travolta clearly won worst dressed with his checkered suit but his wife Kelly Preston was by his side to ease his pain. As for Jennifer Connelly, she has either had a real hit or big misses these days, however, last night she was clearly doing her best Dita Von Teese.

I'm Not There Premiere, With 50% of Bob Dylans

Michelle Williams was (thankfully) back to blonde and (yay) smiling at last night's New York Film Festival premiere of her new movie, I'm Not There. Three of the many Bob Dylans in the film - Cate Blanchett, Richard Gere and Marcus Carl Franklin - came out for the event, but Michelle's ex Heath was among the no shows. I'm definitely curious to see how this movie turns out, especially since the first clip I saw was pretty unintentionally hilarious. Hey, if anyone can pull off this montage of Bob Dylans it's this impressive group of actors.

Matt & Ben Are Still Keeping Good Will Alive

Matt got some help from Ben as one of the hosts for the One X One benefit gala last night at the Toronto Film Festival. The event raises money for domestic and global children's charities, which will prove to be a good warm-up for our favorite Bostonian BFFs who are headed to Africa today. In the past, Matt has teamed up with his Ocean's buddies to raise awareness as well as heading to Africa himself, but this will be the first time that Ben joins him. Clearly the situation in Africa is an issue that Matt feels very strongly about, saying,

"When people are subsisting on less than $1 a day they're not getting educated, they're not getting adequate health care, they're not getting enough food. Those are the issues that you go, 'Look, as a citizen of the world, I'm not going to stand for this.' These are not problems that can't be solved - these are problems that can be solved."

It always makes us happy to hear about celebs rolling up their sleeves and getting directly involved in philanthropy. In other happy Damon news, Matt is set to star alongside Sean Penn in a new movie about politician Harvey Milk. The movie will begin filming in San Francisco in December which means hopefully we'll have some awesome celebrity sightings to report in just a few months.

Heath Acts Like He's Not There

Heath Ledger was keeping a pretty low profile hiding behind his fedora and various Wayfarers at the premiere of I'm Not There at the Venice Film Festival today. Obviously Heath has been going through a hard time lately with his split from Michelle Williams, and apparently it showed on the red carpet. Us Weekly reports: "He had his hat tipped a little low and didn't really make eye contact with anyone. You could tell that he didn't want to be there.” We can only imagine how difficult it must be for Heath to have to try to put on his happy face during a rough period. Maybe after the festival he should spend some quiet time with his adorable little girl.

Mischa, Renee & More Are Freeeee, Freeee Fallllling

From Billy Joel to James Taylor, the Hampton's bound celebrities have definitely enjoyed the Social @ Ross series and this weekend's final show, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers was no exception. Mischa Barton was there (of course) and definitely dressed the part with her headband while John Legend, Ed Burns and Christy Turlington all looked quite adorable. As for Renee Zellweger -- something just seems off. That being said, I'm definitely liking the haircut more than I was last week.
