LL Skips Altman's Service to Hang with A Jackass

When Robert Altman died last fall, Lindsay said she was so distraught she felt as if she just had the wind knocked out of her. Hmm, yet for some reason she skipped out on the memorial service that took place earlier this week. Turns out partying with Steve-O was more important. It seems like an odd choice of priorities for Lohan, who claimed the director "was the closest thing to my father and grandfather that I really do believe I've had in several years." A source sneered, "If he was so important to her, where was she?"

Hey, maybe the invite to the memorial service got lost in the mail when trying to find her in rehab. She was only released last week, after all. We're not sure why Lindsay chose to skip the service, but we certainly hope that it isn't a sign of what's to come. Lindsay has been hitting up the clubs every night since she got out of rehab and Steve O is not exactly a good influence for a 12 stepper trying to get her life in order! Hopefully she will slow down or she's going to end up right back where she started.

Lindsay Mourns Robert Altman

We were all deeply saddened to hear that Robert Altman died yesterday, and Lindsay is clearly sad about his death as well. She was in his final film A Prairie Home Companion, and has issued a very lengthy statement regarding his death. In it she calls Robert the closest thing to a father she ever had, and says she just wants everyone to be thankful. Good message from LL as we're all getting ready for Thanksgiving tomorrow. However, someone should have helped her since she seems a bit off in her statement. Here's more:

I would like to send my condolences out to Catherine Altman, Robert Altman's wife, as well as all of his immediate family, close friends, co-workers, and all of his inner circle.

I feel as if I've just had the wind knocked out of me and my heart aches. If not only my heart but the heart of Mr. Altman's wife and family and many fellow actors/artists that admire him for his work and love him for making people laugh whenever and however he could.

Robert Altman made dreams possible for many independent aspiring filmmakers, as well as creating roles for countless actors.

I am lucky enough to of been able to work with Robert Altman amongst the other greats on a film that I can genuinely say created a turning point in my career.

I learned so much from Altman and he was the closest thing to my father and grandfather that I really do believe I've had in several years.

The point is, he made a difference.
He left us with a legend that all of us have the ability to do.

So every day when you wake up.
Look in the mirror and thank god for every second you have and cherish all moments.
The fighting, the anger, the drama is tedious.

Please just take each moment day by day and consider yourself lucky to breathe and feel at all and smile. Be thankful.

Life comes once, doesn't 'keep coming back' and we all take such advantage of what we have.

Robert Altman RIP

The legendary Robert Altman, probably best known for MASH, Nashville and The Player has died. The cause of the 81 year-old director's death has not yet been disclosed. Hollywood will not be the same without this icon, he will be greatly missed.

Celebrities Get Happy and Bikini-Clad For GLAAD Awards

The GLAAD Media Awards came to LA on Saturday night with another star-studded red carpet. Kathy Griffin couldn't help but show off her "banging bikini bod" yet again when she took the stage to accept her award. Ellen DeGeneres also took home a statue and looked fantastic with Portia De Rossi as they took a moment to talk about their love. Jessica Alba shimmered and smiled brightly while presenting an award and the women of Wisteria Lane supported Marc Cherry when Desperate Housewives won best TV comedy series. Next up, the GLAAD awards hit San Francisco on May 9.

Michelle and Penelope Get Award Ready at Gotham Awards

Movie award season kicked off last night in NYC with the 2008 Gotham Awards. We should get used to seeing some of these winners names and some of these familiar faces when the New Year comes along and Award Season really gets rolling, but for now the group took the red carpet to start honoring each other. While Frozen River took home the top honors, Michelle Williams and Penelope Cruz both had reasons to smile. Rachel Weisz came out to support her husband's movie The Wrestler. Michelle's Synecdoche, New York won the Robert Altman Award for best director, casting and ensemble while Vicky Cristina Barcelona also won an award for best ensemble cast. Lohan To Attend Altman Memorial After All

It appeared that Lindsay skipped the memorial service of her dear friend Robert Altman to do a little post rehab club hopping. It turned out, however, that this is not the whole story. While she didn't make it to the NY service, apparently, there is going to be an additional one in LA that Lindsay will attend. Stay tuned to see if Linds' takes the time off from checking out all of the newest hot spots to pay homage to her "father figure."

Lindsay Lohan Overdosed?

Is the National Enquirer really right about this breaking news story? Did LL overdose on a mixture of coke and painkillers? Is this when she wrote her official statement about Robert Altman? We did think she sounded a bit off but we hope this story is not true. It would be a shame. We have been worried about her and now we hear this. Let's hope the holiday news doesn't turn tragic. Here's more:

In a blockbuster world exclusive story, The ENQUIRER has learned that an out-of-control Lindsay Lohan overdosed on a deadly cocktail of cocaine and painkillers on Nov. 12.

A doctor raced to Hollywood's Chateau Marmont after a friend of the 20-year-old actress found her unconscious in a drug-filled hotel room.

Although the doctor was able to revive the hard-partying star, he was horrified to discover a "stash of cocaine and a pile of prescription drugs" in the room, an insider told The ENQUIRER exclusively.

The doctor flushed the cocaine down the toilet and bagged up seven different prescription drugs, according to the insider.

"The doctor insisted, 'This girl had a serious drug overdose. She has to go into a hospital and then into rehab.'"

Lindsay refused to be treated at a hospital or enter rehab.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce board of directors has decided who will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2007. 23 stars have been announced and the list is:

Lindsay is a Quitter

Seems Ms Lohan doesn't have time for first time directors. The actress supposedly pulled out of the movie called Bill at the last minute since the directors changed and she only wants to work with high profile ones. She has been working hard to make sure her image is aligned with the likes of Jane Fonda, Robert Altman, Meryl Streep, and Lily Tomlin so maybe she is doing something right. She sure looked amazing on Letterman last night. Too bad she acted like a teenager - oh right, she is one.

Who cares about Scarlet Johansson? Tom has landed Lindsay Lohan in the next instalment of Mission Impossible according dude.man.phat. Man she sure stays busy.

Lindsay has also signed on to Robert Altman's Next star studded movie.

By the way - I think Lindsay loves her new Balenciaga bag - and new BFF Nicole has one too. How cute.
