Kristen Stewart Rocks Short Shorts to Party With Robert Pattinson

Kristen Stewart slipped out of her Reem Acra gown and into a Dolce & Gabbana t-shirt and sexy black shorts for Robert Pattinson's Cosmopolis Cannes Film Festival afterparty. Earlier in the evening, Rob hit the red carpet solo at the film's formal premiere, while Kristen stuck close to his best friend, and her On the Road costar, Tom Sturridge. The trip to France came right in the middle of Kristen's international Snow White and the Huntsman press tour. The film opens in theaters June 1, and Kristen's headed back to the states next week for a few more promotional stops. As for Rob, he's in the running for two of the hottest roles in Hollywood. New reports say Rob's considering the part of Finnick Odair in Catching Fire, the follow-up to The Hunger Games, and he's among the sexy guys competing to play Christian in Fifty Shades of Grey.

The 65th Cannes Film Festival is underway, with stars stepping out for glamorous events each day. Brad Pitt hit the red carpet looking hot in a classic tux while Diane Kruger emerged in a white feathered Nina Ricci gown for the premiere of Killing Them Softly with Joshua Jackson. Kristen Stewart and Kirsten Dunst linked up for the On the Road photocall and Robert Pattinson hit the red carpet dressed up in a suit to support Kristen's big Cannes premiere. All eyes were on Robert Pattinson as he stepped out onto the red carpet at tonight's Cannes Film Festival premiere of his David Cronenberg-directed thriller, Cosmopolis. Rob kicked off his day at a casual photocall for the film, but for tonight's formal affair he suited up in a tuxedo. He was joined on the carpet by costars Sarah Gadon and Juliette Binoche, however, he was just a few feet away from his number one lady, Kristen Stewart, who posed for photos with Tom Sturridge. Rob showed his support for Kristen and Tom's feature, On the Road, at a screening earlier in the week and Kristen and Tom seemed happy to do the same for Rob. Early reviews of Cosmopolis have been tough on the storyline, however, Rob's fans will be able to make their own judgements when the film hits theaters later this year.

Robert Pattinson Rises Early For Cosmopolis in Cannes

Robert Pattinson drew a large crowd at the Cannes Film Festival in France this morning. He stepped out for a photocall to promote Cosmopolis after also talking up the project on Le Grand Journal yesterday. Rob will be back in front of the cameras for the premiere of the film later today, though he's already made his red-carpet debut at this year's festival. Rob supported girlfriend Kristen Stewart by showing up at the screening of her movie On the Road, which also stars his pal Tom Sturridge. The fun continued after the event when Rob and Kristen kissed on the balcony of Le Baron's Cannes outpost. Kristen is apparently still in the South of France, but we'll have to wait and see if she makes another red-carpet appearance with Rob this afternoon.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart kissed late night yesterday in Cannes. The couple were at Le Baron's Cannes outpost celebrating the premiere of her new movie On the Road. Robert checked out the screening as well, but walked the red carpet solo. A Balenciaga-clad Kristen nonetheless had plenty of male company. She posed for pictures alongside leading men Sam Riley and Garrett Hedlund, as well as supporting actors like Rob's BFF Tom Sturridge. We caught the movie yesterday as well - make sure to check out our review of On the Road. The movie is making waves because of some surprise topless scenes from Kristen. She didn't seem too caught up in the attention last night, though, as she spent time alongside Rob. It will be Robert's turn to debut a film tomorrow, as his Cosmopolis will be screened at the Grand Palais.

Robert Pattinson and costar Sarah Gadon made the first of many promotional appearances in Cannes today to chat up their David Cronenberg-directed project, Cosmopolis. Rob's movie is in competition against Kristen Stewart's latest dramatic endeavor, On the Road. Kristen's film premiered last night and even though she didn't walk the carpet with Rob, he was still on hand to support her groundbreaking performance. Kristen and Rob shared some PDA at the afterparty, where the duo were spotted cuddling and kissing. Kristen's reportedly still in Cannes so we'll have to wait and see if she joins Rob tomorrow for his big premiere.
