Rosie O'Donnell is in talks with MSNBC to start her own prime-time talk show. She loves doing her own thing so this would be a better move than The View. - The New York Times
Rihanna is supposedly talking about her rumored romance with Josh Hartnett. Apparently she was heard gushing at the World Music Awards about the boy she says "is so hot and he is really sweet to me." Sounds like the beginning of something cute. - The Mirror
Stella McCartney, who famously did not get along with her ex-stepmother Heather Mills, has designed a one-leg necklace that some interpret as a thinly veiled reference to Heather. Something tells us Heather Mills won't be first in line to buy one. - Page Six

A priest who has been sending creepy letters to Conan O'Brien for over a year was arrested Friday and charged with harassment and stalking after attempting to attend a taping of Late Night. Maybe Conan can benefit from the writer's strike by hiding out for awhile. - The NY Times

Rosie and Barbara's Backstage Battle

Don't think for a second that Rosie is going to calm down about her feud with Donald Trump anytime soon. Rosie totally freaked out yesterday when she returned from a two week vacation. She was pissed Barbara didn't do enough to defend her during this entire Donald fiasco. Page Six reports:

According to spies, O'Donnell recoiled from Walters' touch and yelled, "You kept me in the newspapers this whole time!"

Both "View" producer Bill Geddie and Walters tried to calm O'Donnell. Walters told her, "I did everything I could to squash the story" - prompting Rosie to scream, "You didn't call me for 10 goddamn days, and you didn't tell me what you were going to say on television!"

O'Donnell is fuming because Trump went on Larry King two weeks ago - after she had called Trump a "snake-oil salesman" - and said Walters told him she regretted hiring O'Donnell. Trump also blasted the comic as "a horrible human being and a loser."

During her vacation, Walters issued a carefully worded statement saying, "I'm sorry there is friction between Donald and Rosie. That said, I do not regret for one moment my choice to hire Rosie O'Donnell as the moderator of 'The View.' "

After O'Donnell's outburst at Walters yesterday, Geddie jumped in and told her, "You've crossed the line." O'Donnell retorted, "Cameras are now outside of my house where my wife and kids are." She turned to Walters and said, "You went all around this and never called [Trump] a liar. You never said, 'Donald is lying.' You never called him a liar."

When Walters tried to defend herself, O'Donnell erupted, "Are you looking me in the face and denying you didn't tell him you didn't say this? You're a [bleeping] liar."

Reps are now of course saying this is no big deal and the two have moved on, but we're sure this isn't the last we'll hear of the continued saga. It seems as if everyone should move on from this annoying tiff. I consider Rosie the winner at this point since Trump did this whole thing for a promotional stunt for the latest season of The Apprentice which just bombed in the ratings.

Trump and Rosie's Crazy Feud

Rosie made some comments on The View this week when Donald decided to let Miss USA keep her title after some very scandalous behavior. Rosie said, "He's the moral authority? Left the first wife, had an affair, left the second wife, had an affair. Had kids both times, but he's the moral compass for 20-year-olds in America." Trump did not find this funny. He retaliated by going on a hateful tirade, attacking her appearance, intelligence, calling her names and even threatening to send someone over to steal her partner Kelli. Here's more:

“She ought to be careful because I’ll send one of my friends to pick up her girlfriend and I think it would be very easy,” Trump, 60, warned.

"This woman is totally out of control," he told the New York Daily News. "I'm worth billions of dollars, and I have to listen to this fat slob?"

Trump also lashed out at O'Donnell on the television entertainment program, The Insider, ridiculing everything from her appearance to her former eponymous television talk show and magazine.

"Rosie attacks me personally? I know her fairly well because her show failed. She didn't retire. She didn't get the ratings! Her magazine called Rosie was a total disaster," he said.

"She's out of her mind. I will probably sue Rosie for a number of reasons. I'm worth a lot of money. She doesn't tell the facts," he added.

Wednesday night, Rosie blogged about Donald posting details of his troubled finances from Wikipedia. She then decided to take the high road this morning on The View. She brought Kelli along to the show and said, "I was afraid to leave her home in case someone with a combover [ahem] came and stole her from me." She then made a face and said nothing more. 2007 Shocking Headlines: Rosie vs. Her Co-Hosts

We've been counting down the most shocking headlines of 2007, and we'll be revealing one more each day through December 21. We hope you enjoy this look back at some of the posts and stories that we certainly weren't expecting to see.

Back in 2006, The View suffered a big loss when Meredith Vieira headed on to The Today Show. Barbara announced Rosie O'Donnell would be the new moderator that was definitely a big change and one that seemed like it could add a breath of fresh air to the table. Unfortunately, Rosie only seemed to bring drama and negativity to the show from the moment she began. She carried her seemingly never ending feud with Donald Trump into the new year, eventually causing her to clash with Barbara Walters herself and it was all downhill from there. The tensions between Rosie and the other women only got worse as she and Elisabeth Hasselbeck started seriously squabbling, bringing things to a head when Rosie attacked Elisabeth and called her ignorant. The aftermath made speculative headlines about the fate of the show, but in the end Rosie decided to leave The View. The combination of her desire to hog headlines and lose her temper even scored her a spot on our poll for most annoying celebrity of 2007 but we hope that 2008 will be a calmer year in the life of Rosie where she can save her rants for her personal blog.

Rosie to Leave The View? When Will She Nonsensically Blog About It?

After months of rumors and one feud with Donald Trump that has gone on way (WAAAAAY) too long, Rosie O'Donnell may be leaving The View. According to TMZ, she is expected to make the announcement on air this morning, but stick it out on the show until the end of the season. Rosie has been surrounded by both controversy and praise since she joined the cast.

Her just under a year on The View will probably be best remembered for her extremely (and annoyingly) public argument with Donald. It's honestly hard to remember what it was originally about (Miss USA? Really?), but it got particularly ugly when he brought Barbara Walters' rumored distaste for Rosie on the show into the picture.

Who knows what the full reasons are for Rosie's supposed exit, like whether it was her doing or she was urged out, though something tells me we'll find out. Secrets don't seem to exist with that bunch. May I respectfully suggest that Barbara take this as a cue to shut down the show entirely? The tension between the women on that show is palpable these days. Stay tuned for updates as we figure out the full story!
