27 Dresses and More Britney Babble

Katherine Heigl smiled big in her glittery dress at the premiere of her 27 Dresses in LA, complete with an entourage of pretty girls dressed in - you guessed it - 27 dresses. She had the support of her BFF TR Knight and co-star Ellen Pomepo. The Office star Melora Hardin was there to show off a new beauty look as well. Of course her new husband Josh was there to pose on the red carpet, too, and in true Heigl fashion, she had plenty to say about her honeymoon and married life. Katherine loves to talk about herself, but even she couldn't help but throw in her two cents on Britney Spears, saying,

I can't possibly imagine what that young girl is going through. I just hope...that even with all this attention, people can find it in their hearts to be compassionate and not be so judgmental. She is obviously in a great deal of drama and pain, and that's a horrible thing for someone to go through in front of the entire world - and I'm sorry for her.

Guess we're not the only ones who can't stop talking about Britney. Between Ellen Page and Katherine, it seems like Britney's not going away as a hot topic of conversation among celebs anytime soon.

Jennifer Love Hewitt's Engagement Trip Turned Sour

Jennifer Love Hewitt and her new fiance Ross McCall were trying to enjoy their engagement vacation in Maui, but unfortunately their trip was slightly tarnished due to some nasty online stories about the actress. Jennifer released a statement in defense of her body, and we asked what you thought of her reaction. The majority of you were proud she spoke up. For the most part, these two are enjoying their break, and since production on Jennifer's show, The Ghost Whisperer, has shut down indefinitely due to the writers' strike, they can enjoy a long and relaxing vacation to celebrate their newly engaged excitement.

Dakota, Latifah, Paris & Carrie Are People's Red Carpet Choices

It was all about the ladies on the red carpet at last night's People's Choice Awards in LA. Queen Latifah sparkled in purple as the host of the show, yet again, while Debra Messing kept it a little more geometric. Paris Hilton was a nominee this time around for her first presidential video, though she lost in the online sensation category to Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog. Dakota Fanning stood out in her blue one shoulder dress, once again looking perfectly pretty and age appropriate among her older counterparts. She is quite the little lady these days. Some of the bigger names skipped the red carpet and still graced the stage to accept awards, more on that in a bit. Angelina Jolie Suprises A-Listers at Hollywood Film Festival

It was an exciting evening in Hollywood when Angelina Jolie showed up to hand Clint Eastwood the Director of the Year award at the Hollywood Film Festival Awards last night. Actors like Ryan Gosling, James Franco, Dustin Hoffman, Natalie Portman and so many more dressed up to honor their peers at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The audience was surprised when Angelina strutted out fresh from her recent trip to Afghanistan to speak about Clint. She said:

"There are some people in this business that are icons, and we often wonder if, when we meet them, they'll live up to what we imagine them to be. And Clint Eastwood in person is even better. Clint is what every great director should be. He is a great leader. And I certainly would follow him anywhere."

Clint returned the compliments as usual talking about Angelina's talent and beauty. With award season still a few months away, this is just a taste of what's to come and which famous faces we should get used to seeing on all the red carpets.

Stars Show Off Style and Smiles For Fashion Week Goodness

As Fashion Week continues in LA, stars came out for charity on Saturday at the St. Jude's 5th Annual Runway For Life Benefit. The Duff sisters sparkled along with Jaime Pressly and Jennifer Love Hewitt, while Selena Gomez sweetly posed with a young patient. Jon Hamm suited up and flashed a big smile with his girlfriend by his side before we were treated to another new Mad Men episode last night. While it's fun to check out all the new trends we can expect for Spring, it's even better to see celebs finding ways to give back when they're not sitting in the front rows.

Casual Rules on the Kids' Choice Awards Orange Carpet

Nickelodeon hosted the 2008 Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday night, and similar to last year, the big stars - like Will Smith - brought their families for a stroll down the orange carpet. Wannabe Award winner Cameron Diaz, America Ferrera and Ashlee Simpson were just a few of the ladies who got girlie in dresses, while Rihanna and Abigail Breslin went more casual in jeans. Not quite the Oscars red carpet, but it looked like everyone dressed for a fun - or slimy - time.

No Country and Affleck Boys Post Party Oscar Night Away

While some of the bigger Oscar parties were cancelled this year, Hollywood still found lots of ways to celebrate after the big show. The cast of No Country For Old Men looked like they were having a blast at the Miramax soirée, especially Josh Brolin and Diane Lane who were one of the cutest couples of the night. Elsewhere at the same party, fresh from his Kimmel appearance Ben Affleck caught up with Casey to share a laugh. Jen may not have been much for partying after her much talked about red carpet run in with Busey. Eva Longoria didn't score an invite to the awards, but she did get all gussied up in pink to go to Prince's get together.
