She dropped him off and then casually strolled home in her effortlessly cool cuffed jeans and Converse sneakers. Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica are supporting President Obama's reelection campaign and hosting a fundraising event at their Manhattan home. George Clooney held a similar event in LA that raised a record-setting $15 million. The Fall is shaping up to be an exciting season both personally and professionally for SJP. Kate Hudson and Sarah Jessica Parker Are Coming to Glee

Glee's move to Thursday nights isn't the only buzz surrounding the show for next season. The series is also getting two more big-name guest stars in Kate Hudson and Sarah Jessica Parker. These ladies are the latest addition to Glee's many celebrity cameos, and though we'll have to wait to hear more about their characters on the show, Fox has revealed that Hudson's role will be a six-episodic arc. Both of these ladies can sing - SJP has Broadway experience and Hudson showed off her pipes in Nine - so I'm looking forward to seeing both of them on stage with the New Directions. Now, if only we knew which of the Glee regulars are coming back next year.

Sarah Jessica Parker threw on a vintage Oscar de la Renta ball gown, paired with a cardigan, to attend last night's Carnegie Hall Medal of Excellence gala at NYC's Waldorf-Astoria. The event was held to honor legendary New York Times photographer Bill Cunningham, who was the subject of the 2010 documentary Bill Cunningham New York. Bill was there to receive his praise, some of which was provided by Vogue's Anna Wintour and Hamish Bowles. In addition to honoring Bill, who spoke about his lengthy career, the bash raised $1.5 million for the music education programs at Carnegie Hall. Arts education is a cause SJP is particularly passionate about. She announced yesterday that she, along with other celebs like Kerry Washington and Forest Whitaker, are teaming up with President Obama to help increase student achievement at underperforming schools in the US by donating funds to increase access to arts programs.

Sarah Jessica slipped into a plaid Comme des Garcons skirt and neon pink sweater that was reminiscent of something her alter ego, Carrie Bradshaw, might wear. Carrie is coming back to TV this Fall, but not as the character we grew to love on HBO's Sex and the City. Instead, we'll see AnnaSophia Robb play 17-year-old Carrie in The Carrie Diaries on the CW.
