Lauren Conrad was among the celebrity guests who ventured out to LA's Palihouse last night to preview the new shoes from Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet. She was joined by other celebs like Jordana Brewster, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Maria Menounos, and Shenae Grimes. LC, no stranger to design ventures herself, was decked out in one of Stacey's dresses and her signature "fun bun." Lauren hit the bash, which featured a tree made of shoes, despite being busy lately putting the finishing touches on her own new Paper Crown designs. Lauren's also spending time stocking her website, The Beauty Department, with the latest in hair and makeup trends. A recent posting was about at a hip way to do braids. LC's even ventured into the kitchen to address her cravings for Italian food, attempting to make a carbless pizza.

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Rachel Bilson Get a Warm Welcome to Their New Home on the CW

The CW held its upfronts in NYC today, and the network announced it's adding six shows to its Fall lineup with stars like Sarah Michelle Gellar and Rachel Bilson. The programs include SMG's Ringer, which will air Tuesdays with 90210. Rachel, who shared a hug with costar Jaime King, was all smiles due to the success of her latest Josh Schwartz endeavor, Hart of Dixie. She shuttled between LA and North Carolina to shoot the pilot earlier this year and has lately kept the frequent flying miles coming between jaunts to France to work with Chanel's Karl Lagerfeld. The Vampire Diaries stars Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, and Paul Wesley were all in attendance to receive the news that their popular vampire series has been renewed. 90210 castmates AnnaLynne McCord, Shenae Grimes, and Tristan Wilds were in for similar celebrations. Another of the CW's hits, Gossip Girl, wrapped up this week with a dramatic season finale, though only newcomer Kaylee DeFer was on hand for this morning's press event.

James Franco Surrounds Himself With Pretty Girls and Famous Vampires at 127 Hours LA Premiere

James Franco was joined by lots of famous friends and family last night at the LA premiere of 127 Hours, just one day after he attended the film's NY red carpet. James, who plays hiker Aron Ralston in the movie, told us filming was extremely demanding and weighed in on the buzzed-about amputation scene. James thinks the gore has caused some people to faint because of the strong emotional connection they make to the real-life story. James's younger brother Dave Franco came to support his sibling, as did several stars of True Blood, Twilight's Kellan Lutz, and dad-to-be Orlando Bloom. Even with the impressive celebrity turnout, the spotlight was on James all night - his costar, Kate Mara, gushed to us that working with the multitalented star was simply "incredible." 127 Hours is out later this month and Buzz says it's among the November releases that may make you feel thankful this season.
