Shia and Tom Suit Up For a Lawless Premiere With Gorgeous Jessica Chastain

The guys and girls of Lawless hit the red carpet for a premiere of their movie at the Cannes Film Festival this evening. Shia LaBeouf, Tom Hardy, and Guy Pearce appeared on the Croisette in tuxes, while their leading ladies Jessica Chastian and Mia Wasikowska donned gowns. Special guests like Sean Combs and Bérénice Bejo walked the press line as well. Shia, Tom, Jessica, and Mia have had a busy day, chatting up the press and posing for pictures at an a.m. photocall. The film, based on the book The Wettest County in the World, is out in the US on Aug. 31, and the Lawless reviews are so far good.

Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted premiered yesterday, and Jessica wore Armani Privé for that event alongside costars in the animated picture like Jada Pinkett Smith and Chris Rock.

Shia and Tom Hardy Bring a Double Dose of Hotness to Cannes For Lawless

Shia LaBeouf and Tom Hardy play brothers on the big screen in Lawless, which they debuted at the Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France, today. The two made a handsome pair at their morning photocall, where they joined their leading ladies Jessica Chastain and Mia Wasikowska. Shia was sporting a well-manicured scruff while Tom has clearly been growing out his facial hair. Jessica has been the belle of the ball at the festival so far, hitting up many red carpets and also promoting Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted yesterday. The film, which was formerly called The Wettest County in the World, has its big red-carpet premiere later on Saturday. The movie was met by positive reviews from the press who checked out the first screening. We had a chance to see Lawless this morning and will be chatting with the cast tomorrow.

Lawless Trailer: Shia LaBeouf and Tom Hardy Are Brother Bootleggers

Shia LaBeouf and Tom Hardy are two of my favorite rough-around-the-edges actors, and in the trailer for Lawless, we get to see them exercise that quality, but in Depression-era garb. LaBeouf and Hardy play the Bondurant brothers, a pair of siblings who make their money during Prohibition by bootlegging alcohol. The illegal activity doesn't just make them profitable, but it also makes them feel untouchable, until two other men threaten their operation - and lives. One of them is Floyd Banner (Gary Oldman), a gangster who wants control of the Bondurants' supply (anyone else getting a major Nucky Thompson vibe from him?), and the other is an authority played by Guy Pearce, who wants to take down the brothers by any means necessary.

The preview for the movie, which is based on the novel The Wettest County in the World, has a lot going on, and looks like it's going to be a bit more violent than I was expecting (I had chills when the machine gun gets brought out). Still, the acting looks like it may be phenomenal from LaBeouf and his costars, who also include Jessica Chastain and Mia Wasikowska. The movie comes out Aug. 31, so watch the preview after the jump.

Shia LaBeouf Debuts a Big Beard - and a Ponytail!

Shia LaBeouf rocked a hairy new look yesterday while out picking up coffee in LA. Shia showed off an interesting new look, pairing a bushy beard with a ponytail! It's been a while since we've had a look at Shia, as he's been busy working on multiple films including Wettest County, opposite Tom Hardy and Jessica Chastain, and Robert Redford's The Company You Keep. One project not on his agenda is the fourth Transformers. Despite the possibility of his return to the role of Sam Witwicky in the Michael Bay superfranchise, it seems Shia is going to pass. Fellow Transformers actor Josh Duhamel confirmed last month that neither he nor Shia had plans to revisit their characters.

Shia LaBeouf and his girlfriend Karolyn Pho locked lips on the set of The Company You Keep in Vancouver yesterday. They snuck in a kiss while Shia was away from the cameras on his latest project. He's been filming in Canada since last month and got into a graduation gown for a scene last week. Shia's been enjoying the local nightlife during his stay up North, though he may have gotten a little too excited on a recent night out. Shia was involved in a bar fight earlier this month, but managed to escape with just a bruised face.

Shia Graduates to the Big Leagues and May Return For a Fourth Transformers

Shia LaBeouf looked the part of a college graduate on set in Vancouver yesterday while shooting The Company You Keep. Just out of frame, director Robert Redford kept Shia and the crew on their toes with his animated instructions. Shia seemed in high spirits and joked with his co-workers between scenes. Last week, though, things weren't so cheery for him. Shia was involved in a bar fight that left him with a bruised left cheek.

Shia's busy filming with Robert and may be lining up another big-budget movie. His return to the Transformers franchise could be on again, according to his leading lady from Dark of the Moon. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley recently remarked on Shia doing a fourth Transformers film, saying of the possibility, "I think so. He'll kill me for saying that." Shia swore he was done with Michael Bay's robot series earlier this Summer, but following the most recent film's success at the box office, a fourth installment could be an offer too good to pass up.

Shia LaBeouf Show Signs of a Fresh Bruise Following His Latest Bar Brawl

Shia LaBeouf rode his bike in Vancouver yesterday with what seemed to be a fresh bruise on the left side of his face. Shia was involved in a bar fight last week, and new video footage of Shia's fight shows the actor taking a blow to the cheek from an attacker. It's not the first time Shia's been involved in a scuffle. In February, Shia was allegedly thrown out of an LA pub for fighting, and, in August, he reportedly had a "meltdown" following an exchange of words with Marilyn Manson at an art opening. Shia's staying out of trouble on set, however, thanks to the watchful eye of director Robert Redford. Robert and Shia are in the midst of filming The Company You Keep, which is due out in 2012.

Shia Goes South of the Border While He Shoots in Canada

Shia LaBeouf rode his bike to grab lunch at a taco joint in Vancouver yesterday. At one point Shia, who was listening to his iPod as he left the Mexican restaurant, adjusted his hat and let his curly haircut fly out. The actor is in Canada as he shoots Robert Redford's latest directorial effort, The Company You Keep. The thriller, which is based on a novel by the same name, also stars Chris Cooper and Stanley Tucci. Shia has been spotted spending his time away from the set exploring the city by himself, but before he headed North, Shia and his girlfriend Karolyn Pho spent much of the Summer together. The couple were first spotted together this February and their connection is seemingly both romantic and creative. The duo recently collaborated on a photography project with Marilyn Manson, which they unveiled in LA in September.
