The Ladies Are Short, Long and Shiny on the AMA Red Carpet!

The 2009 American Music Awards descended on the Nokia Theatre in LA last night, which meant a star studded red carpet before the big show. It was a pleasant mixture of long and short dresses on all the ladies, though some even found a way to do both simultaneously like Rihanna in her cutout gown. Carrie Underwood has the early lead in Fab's best dressed poll, but Rih is close behind. Alicia Keys stood out in blue while Fergie's high slit meant she showed off some leg as she posed. Nicole Kidman spent most of her red carpet time on the arm of her husband Keith Urban - speaking of which, check out all the guys here.

Shakira and Selena Gomez cozied up for the cameras in their standout short dresses while Demi Lovato sported some bling around her neck. Will Smith Donates Lots of Turkeys in Miami

Will Smith has a month before his new movie hits theaters but he's already started promoting what we can only expect will be another world tour. His latest film, Seven Pounds, costars Rosario Dawson who was by his side in Miami for a charity premiere. The film is about Will's character doing remarkable things for seven strangers and it's by the same director who helped Will score an Oscar nomination for The Pursuit of Happyness. The movie comes out December 19th and of course while Will was doing good and donating 300 turkeys, he was also keeping things in the family as he plugged his son's film coming out a week before his soon to be blockbuster. Will may be a huge A-list movie star but first and foremost, he's a doting dad.

As were we. Chris Klein and Sophia Vergara were as clueless as the rest of us about their recent exes getting together. Maybe Tomatie's business meeting (were they first met) was simply a plan to cook up some press.
