NYC Is Where Spike, Blake, and Tom Check Out the Wild Things

Blake Lively was one of the few ladies at last night's NYC premiere of Where the Wild Things Are. It's only Wednesday, but this was already Blake's second red carpet of the week after turning out to support boyfriend Penn Badgley Monday at his screening of The Stepfather. Blake was in rather impressive company, as Tom Hanks and Forest Whitaker also turned out to see Spike Jonze's latest film. Spike took his turn in the limelight to pose with the young star Max Records and author Maurice Sendak, who wrote the famous children's book on which the movie is based. The movie opens Friday - make sure to check out the latest trailer - and there is a huge promotional effort underway, including related lines of home furnishings, children's Halloween costumes, and even clothes for adults.

Michelle Lets Spike Do All the Matilda Lifting

Spike Jonze carried Matilda on his shoulders while Michelle Williams ran errands around NYC yesterday. Matilda looked happy as can be, playfully pulling Spike's hair and laughing in her yellow mini Hunter wellies. When Michelle finally gets back to work filming Blue Valentine, it looks like Spike will make a great babysitter for Matilda when he's not busy with his own projects.

Michelle Williams and Matilda squeezed under Spike Jonze's big umbrella as the trio stepped out for a walk in rainy NYC on Friday. On Saturday, Michelle was all by herself to pick up a few goodies to ensure a successful visit from the Easter bunny for Matilda the next day. Michelle keeps her hands full, but these days Spike always seems to be around to help out.

Michelle Williams's walks around Brooklyn are usually reserved for Matilda, but yesterday she gave her little girl the day off to spend some quality time with her man Spike Jonze. The couple looked cozy as they stepped out for drinks and shared a few laughs. Things seem to be getting serious for these two, and it's great to see that they enjoy each other's company in and out of the spotlight.

With such famous names coming out to support the school, hopefully it only means bigger and better things for the program, which is helping give all the talented students the recognition they deserve.

Michelle Williams smiled big at a screening of her new movie Synecdoche, New York in, where else, NYC last night. The screenwriter, director, producer for the film Charlie Kaufman posed next to his stars Michelle and Catherine Keener. Afterward, the group was off to the after party where Michelle and Spike Jonze held hands and cuddled close while chatting with friends, even sneaking a few kisses on their way out. Kaufman's directional debut looks like a visually stunning and thought provoking masterpiece - just the kind of film where Michelle Williams will shine. With another heart wrenching movie coming soon, it looks like we have some amazing performances on the way from Michelle, which will be something to savor if she really takes a deserved break from work.

The actress and her adorable daughter Matilda were spotted with director Spike Jonze boarding a private plane in Santa Monica yesterday on their way off on a weekend getaway. We first heard rumors that Michelle and Spike were an item last week, but these are the first photos of the supposed new couple! Well, it looks like we have a winner between Spike and Zach in the fight for Drew's affection! We haven't seen Drew with Spike since she was getting all romance-y at the Ivy by the Shore back in March, but it would seem they're still an indietastic couple. Mr. Jonze and Drew were out together around LA yesterday looking a little unkempt, but happy nonetheless. Or maybe their disheveled look means that they're more content together than ever. Awww, yay.
