Fresh off her endless Hairspray promotional tour, Amanda Bynes was back on the red carpet at Sushi Samba (yum, yum) in NYC last night to celebrate her new Steve & Barry's clothing line, Dear. Just like SJP with Bitten, Amanda opted to keep her line at the affordable chain so all her little fans can get their hands on her wares. Even though Amanda's been looking more and more like a generic blonde starlet these days, her spunky personality still separates her from the pack. Obviously she's still very appealing to the younger teen set, too. Check out the preview for her latest teen movie, Sydney White, a modern take on Snow White.

Paris to Spend NYE Down Under

Don't look for Paris to be in the States this New Year's Eve. She just arrived in Sydney this morning with enough luggage to last her a year. It seems, however, she is only staying less than a week. The heiress has been hired to launch Bondi Blonde beer which includes judging a bikini contest on New Year's Day. Here's more:

Looking relaxed and happy in a casual black and white striped top and jaunty cap, the heiress arrived ahead of a string of parties organised by Singleton to launch Bondi Blonde.

Launch Management Group publicist Antonia O'Neill confirmed that Singleton had secured Hilton's services for an undisclosed fee.

Organisers are expecting the notorious party girl show up on Bondi Beach on new year's day to select a bikini babe to be the face of the beer after spending the night enjoying new year's fun somewhere in Sydney.

"We'll be taking good care of her on new year's eve,'' Ms O'Neill told AAP.

"We are sure Sydney's hottest parties will want to let us know what they have planned to see if the world's biggest party girl will want to attend.''

They won't disclose the amount but earlier on we heard Paris was charging $100,000 and a private jet for her New Year's Eve services. Paris really has made a career out of partying - it's amazing! Cate, Kate and Jessica Take Palm Springs Honors

Palm Springs sure makes everyone look stunning. The British Kate and Sienna looked amazing as well as the other Cate. As usual, Jessica Biel was all class showing off her sick and well rested body. She was there to receive the Rising Star Award. Another big winner of the night was Babel who took best ensemble performance and Director of the Year. Cate Blanchett won Career Achievement of the Year for her work in the film as well as Notes on a Scandal and The Good German. Brad may not have won an award on his own but Cate made sure to throw some attention his way. Here's more:

Blanchett on stage joked that she could barely speak English, prompting Pitt to play interpreter and feign sign language. He also lead the crowd of 1,800 (which included Morgan Freeman, Laurence Fishburne, Alan Arkin and Sissy Spacek) in singing Happy Birthday to their Japanese Babel co-star, Rinko Kikuchi. In honor of Kikuchi's 26th birthday, Blanchett playfully said she was pulling a Britney Spears - "not wearing any underwear this evening."

Tiffany was an event sponsor, and stars were greeted on the red carpet by a 5-foot version of the jeweler's signature blue gift box, wrapped in white ribbon. Kate Winslet (honored for acting achievement for her role in Little Children) Winslet said her "childlike brain" was hoping to see "a person leap out of the box and perform some fabulous tap dance." The gift box sparked "extreme excitement" from presenter Sienna Miller. "I'd like to be in that box with whatever else is in there," she said.

Sounds like a great night. Love the fact that Cate Blanchett is totally up to speed on Britney's missing underwear! Goes to show that A-List celebs don't take themselves too seriously. Naomi and Alexander Enjoy the Sydney Sunshine

Naomi Watts took her blue-eyed baby boy for a visit with some family in Sydney on Monday, but got some time to herself to run a few errands yesterday. She and Alexander are clearly enjoying the benefits of Australian Summer, from her cute white dress right down to his bare feet. It seems like Naomi is all about showing off her little man these days, and we wonder if it's only a matter of time before there's another one on the way - especially since she is older and wiser.

Jay Z & B Still Going

So much for the break up rumors. Jay-Z and B took the stage together at Radio City Music Hall last night to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his first album, "Reasonable Doubt." I thought he retired. Guess not. He just announced he will go on tour overseas. Here's more:

In an interview with The Associated Press on Friday between rehearsals for Sunday night’s commemorative show, Jay-Z announced that he would be going on tour this fall in a jaunt around the globe - Seoul, Beirut, Dubai, Johannesburg and Sydney, to name a few stops.

“There’s a lot of places I haven’t been,” explained Jay-Z. “They’ve heard my music but they’ve never really seen me perform live. ... This really makes me wanna go out and perform. I’m looking forward to going overseas.”
