The Expendables 2 Trailer: Liam Hemsworth Shoots and Scores

The bad boys of The Expendables are back in the trailer for the sequel, and this time they have a hot, new secret weapon: Liam Hemsworth. Given that the original film features action stars of many decades (including Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, and Chuck Norris), it seems fitting that they've made room for the Hunger Games star as their latest edition (fun fact: Hemsworth was originally cast in the first film, but his part was cut). In The Expendables 2, Hemsworth joins the gang as a sniper named Billy the Kid as they face down a villain played by Jean-Claude Van Damme.

Don't try to follow too much of the story in the trailer, though; it's mostly a mélange of shoot-'em-up sequences, fistfights, and explosions. It's not that it's not fun, however, and it's definitely worth the watch to see Hemsworth in action star mode. The movie comes out on Aug. 17, and you can check out the trailer when you

We can't get enough of Liam Hemsworth lately, so we were stoked to get the first look at the Hunger Games star in character in his poster for The Expendables 2. He plays Billy "The Kid" Timmons, the newest (and youngest) edition to the tough-as-nails special ops team. Hemsworth joins the ranks of Jason Statham, Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stallone, Chuck Norris, and they even snagged Arnold Schwarzenegger for another cameo. Check out all the posters from the team and trust us, it's worth a scroll just to see the names - Jet Li as Yin Yang? Genius.

Producer Joel Silver gathered his famous friends in Malibu yesterday for a Memorial Day bash. Tom Cruise attended along with Katie Holmes, son Connor, and a high-heel-wearing Suri Cruise while Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale turned out with their sons Kingston and Zuma. Guy Ritchie rolled up with his pregnant girlfriend Jacqui Ainsley, who could talk parenthood with a likewise expecting January Jones. The Mad Men star was just in NYC, where she showed off her upcoming blockbuster X-Men: First Class. A fresh-from-Paris Diane Kruger soaked up the sun with boyfriend Joshua Jackson while the holiday provided a chance for Courteney Cox and David Arquette to reunite with their daughter Coco. Celebrity babies were lucky to run on the sand between bouncy castles, and Minnie Driver's son Henry took advantage alongside Jennifer Meyer and Tobey Maguire's Ruby and Otis.

Javier and Penelope stayed in California for the holiday due to the airport trouble in Europe, and it looks like they had a blast despite the team's tough loss. The happy couple were even featured on the kiss cam and happily obliged with PDA for the crowd! The Staples center was packed with celebrities including Cameron Diaz, who was back from her bikini-filled vacation in Mexico with Alex Rodriguez in time to spend the weekend at home. She had Guy Oseary instead of her romantic getaway partner ARod as her courtside date. Jeremy Piven and Emmanuelle Chriqui had a mini Entourage reunion, while Kanye West chatted with Kris Jenner.

Last night's Lakers game at the Staples center was the place to bring your date as Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie shared courtside PDA watching the home team win game one of the Western Conference finals against the Phoenix Suns. Basketball fans Jessica Alba and Cash Warren came out to support the team, tweeting cute photos from their front-row seats before heading to dinner after the big game. Khloe Kardashian made the evening a family affair, cheering on husband Lamar Odom with her mom, Kris, and brother, Rob. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has been a constant fixture at the games, but Khloe's looking forward to the end of the playoffs so she can enjoy a postponed honeymoon with Lamar.

Gwyneth and Scarlett Are White Hot With RDJ For Iron Man 2 LA Premiere!

The dueling leading ladies of Iron Man 2, Gwyneth Paltrow and Scarlett Johansson, were once again in similar hues for last night's world premiere. On Friday the women were both in shades of gray for the photo call, the first of the weekend-long series of events moved from London to LA last week. Robert Downey Jr. planted a kiss on Gwyneth, who was all legs in her shorts tuxedo with her trademark center part in that perfect blond hair. Scarlett was beautiful herself, brightening up the evening even without her super hot husband there to help her debut the first of this Summer's 10 most anticipated blockbusters!

Of course, the men of the film were nothing to scoff at, all suited up! RDJ had his real life favorite lady, wife Susan, for most of the red carpet poses. Mickey Rourke displayed his usual quirky fashion sense, and director Jon Favreau got ready to show off his sequel as fans are already looking towards number three. Don Cheadle went his own direction with a hat while Adrien Brody was just along for fun. The first Iron Man was a critical and box office success, and there are only a few weeks before its May 7 release we get to see if the second one can live up to the same standard!
