Rihanna Deserves a Standing Ovation

Rihanna kept her short hair out of her face with quite the headband making her way through LAX on Thursday night. She's been sassing up the stage on tour with Kanye's Glow in the Dark tour, but she's got her own re-release of Good Girl Gone Bad to celebrate too. To accompany the album's already stellar tracks, Rihanna added "Take A Bow" which is the kind of anthem that is so fun to belt out and the video totally lives up to it. Check it out below - I gotta say, she makes some amazing facial expressions. Love it.

Jennifer Plays With Demi, Emily, and Naomi in NYC

Jennifer Aniston was in LA last week for a wedding with her stylist, but she popped up in NYC last night to take part in the annual 24 Hour Plays on Broadway. She joined a handful of actor couples for the evening, including Emily Blunt and John Krasinski as well as Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts. Demi Moore was a lot more covered up than her recent W cover, as she posed with husband Ashton Kutcher. Jennifer joined her fellow thespians onstage to sing "Yellow Submarine" and take part in the hastily-written theater exercise, which was held to benefit arts in education programs in public schools. She took her bow next to a similarly-dressed Brooke Shields before moving on for some after-hours fun with Ashton and Demi.

Nicole Richie Has Lots To Love About 2008

Nicole Richie and Benji Madden piled on the black and white for a trip out around town yesterday. Since breaking up with Paris, Benji's been playing the third wheel with Nicole and Joel, but it doesn't look like Nicole minds much to spend time with the other Madden twin. It's been quite a year for Miss Richie and she's the first to talk about how wonderful it's been. She recently talked about her year with Harlow and more:

On the highlight of her year: "Obviously, the birth of my daughter is the best thing ever...Just in general, it's been a really great year for me. Everything's just kind of coming together. All of my dreams are becoming a reality."
On Harlow's fashion sense: "She likes to dress up. You can see it in her face. She just loves dressing up; she loves putting on tights and bows and stuff like that...I'm not too caught up in her fashion at the moment. I just let her wear what's comfortable for her. But she loves those tights."
On life without paparazzi: "I would take Harlow to the park. I feel that sometimes I don't get to do everything that I want to do with her," she says softly. "But you know what? I'm not complaining at all. She has a really great life. My life is what it is, and people have it a lot worse than me."

Joel's a new favorite and Nicole keeps getting better. It's nice to hear that Nicole appreciates where she is ready to raise her little girly girl and rumor has it she's enlisted the help of Rihanna to get ready to finally put out her first album.

The Boys Are Back and This Time the Entourage Is in NYC

Adrian Grenier and his Entourage all got suited up to walk the silver carpet last night at the Ziegfeld Theater in NYC to celebrate the new season starting this Sunday. We were there to chat with the stars who all looked gorgeous and were very excited to see each other giving out hugs and greetings between interviews. Unfortunately Adrian skipped any Isabel Lucas questions but joked, "We're here talking about Entourage, that's much more interesting," and lucky for us he had a lot more to say. Here's more:

On Vince's career reviving itself: "I think it does, you know. Nothing lasts forever so inevitably there's going to be some low points in a career and its been four great years for Vince its about time for a change."
On Vince's character change: "He's maturing for sure. He's starting to take more action and become more committed."
On playing an actor: "The one thing I love about the show is that I get to try out all different characters."

Adrian also spoke about how much he loves it when he grows out his beard, although we got a sneak peek at the new season and he doesn't keep it for long (phew). Stay tuned for more conversations we had at the event, including a steamy love scene a character has with a porn star, and what changes between Ari and his wife.

NYC Can't Stop Rihanna and Her Music

Rihanna's busy week in NYC rolled on as she headed to the Empire State Building last night for the 3rd Annual LOVEDAY celebration. She showed off her Cartier love bracelet for charity, but said she wasn't in love herself - wonder what Chris Brown thinks about that. This morning she woke up early for The Today Show. She performed three of her hits and also talked about her new role as the official ambassador for cultural youth in Barbados, and how much she loves her home country. Rih must be a little homesick after her action-packed week, but hopefully she's not too tired since she's got the BET awards next Tuesday to gear up for.

The Spice Girls Bid Farewell With a Little Help From Cruz

Last night the Spice Girls closed up shop on their reunion tour in Toronto. They put on their sassy costumes one final time, and the lucky audience was treated to yet another performance by adorable Cruz - LilSugar has the cute video right here. The Girls posted an official goodbye message on their Spice Blog, thanking the fans and even incorporating a few lyrics. Here's more:

We have been lucky enough to have shared it with the most loyal fans in the world. Ten years on, you came back still wanting more . . . and it looks like we made some new friends along the way. You have inspired and ignited us with each show, the 47 that we performed, each time was amazing and it is thanks to you.

So we look to the future with hope and imagination and let Girl Power live on through all of you as it will continue in us and the future generations to come.

We hate goodbyes but sadly the time has come to take our final bow so maybe our song says it best:

"Goodbye my friend, it's not the end . . . So glad we made it, time will never ever change it . . . "

We have to admit that it's a little sad to see the Girls going their separate ways again, but we're glad Cruz helped them end their run with a bang.

Jen and Violet Are Still Merry in Manhattan

Christmas may be over, but Violet Affleck was still showing her holiday spirit yesterday in her green hood and red bow. She was also cruising around on a new set of wheels - a present from Santa perhaps? Jennifer's role on Broadway will be over in a few weeks, and we'll miss seeing our favorite mother-daughter duo making their way around NYC. At least smart Violet is taking advantage of the yummy bagels before she heads back West.

Jessica Really Appeals to the Teens

Apparently Jessica and Cash didn't have time to take advantage of being in Paris after Eva and Tony's wedding, because the two were at the airport on their way out yesterday morning. And don't they just look thrilled as usual (though I'm loving her coat)? Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer may have been a bit overshadowed by the other Summer blockbusters, but the Teen Choice Awards committee took notice and nominated Jessica for 3 awards: Hissy Fit, Female Hottie, Action Adventure Actress. The show isn't until the end of August, but you can vote here. Mark my words, teens love Jessica, but she may have to lose to Seacrest in the Hissy Fit category.

Kate and Pete Clean Up to Honor Pics of Kate

Kate and Pete, in a seemingly rare moment of cleanliness and non-disheveled outfits, were out in London this week to celebrate the opening of the Face of Fashion exhibit at England's National Portrait Gallery. Kate's portrait, a set of nine images taken by Corinne Day, the artist who photographed Kate for Vogue 14 years ago, is the centerpiece of the show and will stay in the Gallery after the exhibit's run is over. Here's more:

Moss's reaction to Day's new images was self-deprecating. "I've got crooked teeth, bow legs, a wonky nose," said the model.

Day said:"It's very intimate. I wanted the shots to be genuine so that when people look at them each picture will say something different."

Kate never fails to take interesting pictures (that's why she's Kate Moss, after all), and these ones are no exception. Plus, it's a little reassuring to see Pete looking less completely high. Perhaps this time he'll be clean for good? Baby steps. Now we just have to figure out a way to get to London to see the rest of the exhibit.
