Oct 5 2007 - 12:25am Maddox was back in his signature mohawk hand in hand with his mom and dad leaving his Manhattan school yesterday. Brad and Angelina had been all over the place over the past few weeks,
selling magazines and whatnot, but this weekend Brad dad returns to his roots — acting on the big screen in that mouthful of a movie,
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. I'm definitely curious to see this one because while I hate long movies, I love long movies starring Brad Pitt — well, hellooooo Legends of the Fall.

3How long is the movie?
4I saw the movie, and it just wasnt for me. I am the action type of gal so this psychological stuff was too slow paced for me. I still support Brad no matter what though, which is why I even went to see it in the first place. The acting was not bad-Brad did fine, but Casey is the one that really does deserve all the praise he gets because he was downright creepy in this movie, which I believe his character calls for. His scenes really gave me chills-just the look in his eyes and the sound of his voice. But again, this movie just dragged on for way too long. For me, the first half hour of the movie was excellent, but it all goes sour after that.
Anyone else catch this film? What are your thoughts? I know its supposed to expand in more theatres today.
If you have a short attention span, I would suggest to go see 3:10 to Yuma instead-unless you really want to support Brad, Casey, and the rest of the cast.
5the movie has been out for two weeks in limited release... now it will be expanding to 33 screens.
6Brad is not and has never been an exceptional actor. I'm not surprised Casey outshines him in this film.

i'm all for long psychological dramas. when you add in the good reviews this movie has been getting, it sounds just right for me.
28I saw this move last weekend and it's both long and slow. Clocking in at 2:40, you'll definitely want that refill on the popcorn to sustain you.
However, all the acting in this film is really good. I'm hot and cold on Brad's performances, but this is one of his best. And Casey Affleck's portrayal of Robert Ford is amazing. He deserves all the kudos he's been getting from reviewers.

TAoJJbtCRF comes to town this weekend and I cannot wait!! I love psychological character studies vs mindless bang bang westerns.. I will take an Unforgiven over 3:10 anyday.
I like this outfit on Brad... if I was Angie and he was wearing this around me..he wouldn't be wearing it for long and the 5th child would DEFINATELY be on its way!
