Anything He Can Do Claire Danes Can Do Better?
For the first 25 seconds of this new Gap commercial starring Claire Danes and Patrick Wilson (Phantom of the Opera, Little Children, does that help?), I was wondering about and slightly annoyed by Claire's lack of pants. Then, all of a sudden, it made sense. It may not be the ad that helped bring back swing dancing, but it's pretty darn cute.

Clearly Africa is the latest and greatest trend. First Brad and Angie had baby Shiloh there, then Gwyneth declared she was African, then George Clooney went all Darfur on us and now The Gap, Apple, Motorola, American Express and even we here at Sugar Publishing are going RED in support of a place in need.
Today on Oprah, Bono will announce some exciting new product launches to raise money to fight AIDS in Africa.
Halle and Ashlee Mind the Gap With Famous Friends
Celebrities were out in Hollywood last night celebrating the launch of Gap's new 1969 premium denim line. Halle Berry stepped out with her man Gabriel Aubry, while Emma Roberts rolled solo. Ashlee Simpson was fresh from the TCAs to smile and strike a few poses, and Joel Madden manned the DJ booth while Nicole hosted a bash across town.
Wentworth to Wear His Khakis with Attitude
Wentworth is trading in his prison garb for something a little more versatile. The adorable Prison Break actor will be featured in Gap's new Khakis with Attitude campaign along with Kyra Sedgwick, Daniel Dae Kim and Dermot Mulroney among others. We love Wentworth no matter what he's wearing, and we'll be especially happy when we can see him on every other billboard in our fine city.
Bono and Oprah Do the (RED) Thing
We told you this morning all about going (RED) to raise money and fight AIDS in Africa, and we're loving our new outfits that show support for the cause. Bono and Oprah are also going red. They hit Chicago's "Magnificent Mile" together to show off new clothing from The Gap, accessories and cool gadgets like the new cherry red iPod that will all help to fight AIDS.

John and Selma Debut Classic Bedroom Eyes For Gap
John Mayer and Selma Blair (hey, they rhyme!) posed for these intimate portraits as part of a Fall ad campaign for The Gap. The series, shot by Annie Leibovitz, is called Classic Redefined and has each of the celebrity models showing off a signature Gap piece — like John in the sweater vest and Selma in the deep v-neck. I can't wait to see the full set of ads (including actors from Forest Whitaker to Lucy Liu), which will run in September issues of fashion mags and in Gap stores.
