Cameron, Keanu, Jim and Jenny Join for a Night at the Movies

Fresh from a weekend on the set of Yes Man, Jim Carrey went out with Jenny McCarthy for AFI's Night At The Movies presented by Target in LA. They weren't the only stars out for the red carpet - Keanu Reeves kept it typically dark while Cameron Diaz had that in love smile on her face though no hot Paul by her side. Plus at the end of those long legs were some adorable polka dot shoes. The event included simultaneous screenings of 12 classic American movies with introductions from their stars - Jim went on stage to talk about Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Keanu for The Matrix, Cameron for There's Something About Mary and on and on from Dustin Hoffman to Mike Meyers. Sounds like a perfect way to take in a Wednesday night at the movies taking a walk down memory lane joined by some of the world's biggest stars.

Keanu's Career Is Definitely Not Standing Still

Keanu Reeves made his way to Universal Studios in LA yesterday with his lunch in hand. He's been keeping a pretty low profile in public these days, but is clearly hard at work. Right now he's doing The Night Watchman, and he's just signed on to do a remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still, where he will play an alien. We like him better in the sci-fi genre than in the romantic comedies, so hopefully we'll have another Matrix coming our way.

The Tudors Jonathan Rhys Meyers has checked into rehab. His rep says, "After a non-stop succession of filming....He felt a break was needed to maintain his recovery." Rehab is clearly the new black - People
Joe Francis pleaded guilty to contempt of court Monday and was sentenced to jail for 35 days. He had it coming to him. - AP
Milla Jovovich and fiance director Paul Anderson are expecting a baby in the fall. Congrats to them both! - People
Kim Basinger denies that she leaked the voicemail where Alec Baldwin lambasts his daughter and says she wishes Alex would seek help for his ongoing aggressive behavior. - AP
Rosie evidently offended some of New York's most accomplished women (and teenage girls) when she emceed the Matrix Awards yesterday by grabbing her crotch and yelling expletives. Good thing Donald Trump wasn't there. - Page Six

Rob Lowe Missed out on McDreamy

Grey's Anatomy has been a favorite of ours since the start. We instantly fell in love with McDreamy's character. Unfortunately, we can't say the same for Rob Lowe. Lowe has claimed to be "devastated" about his decision to turn down the role that later went to Patrick Dempsey. Here's more:

"(I) coulda been MCDreamy! It's an occupational hazard. It's like BRAD PITT turns down THE MATRIX to go do SEVEN YEARS IN TIBET. It happens to everybody. The great thing is that Patrick Dempsey is so great in that part and he's such a great actor. If I'd have done that I wouldn't be doing this great part and having this fun on (new TV series) BROTHERS AND SISTERS. It all works out."

Ashton thinks Keanu can't act

Ashton dodged more marriage rumors when he spoke to W magazine. He said he already feels like they are all a family. Blah Blah Blah.

He also noted that even though he does not get raving reviews for his acting skills, he compares himself to the likes of Keanu Reeves. Ashton said, "I'll watch a Keanu Reeves movie and I'll go, 'Wow. He's really not a great actor,' But the guy works really hard and keeps doing hit movies."

Ashton, should note that even though Keanu does not have an Oscar that he has been in such a variety of films with a resume that includes, The Matrix, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, Parenthood, Speed and The Devil's Advocate. Much better than Dude, Where's my car?
