The Cleaner, TBL Canceled - Who Do You Think Is Next?

Two down, more to go. The Beautiful Life became the first new show of the Fall to be axed on Friday, and now A&E has canceled The Cleaner, Benjamin Bratt's drama about an interventionist. The Cleaner lasted two seasons, but The Beautiful Life? A mere two episodes.

We're still early into the Fall TV season, but it's not too soon to start calling the hits and misses (The CW was ready, after all). There are a couple shows I don't want canceled but I'm scared for (Community, will you last?), and ones I'm just waiting to hear the death knell for.

Cast your prediction here: what do you think will get the axe next? A new show that came in weakly, or a show that lasted a season or more and shouldn't be invited back?

The Beautiful Life Gets Cancelled After Only Two Episodes!

The CW has pulled the plug on The Beautiful Life after airing only two episodes. The ratings were dismal for the premiere and apparently things weren't looking up after the second week on the air. This makes TBL the first of the new Fall shows to be canceled after two other new CW shows - Melrose Place and The Vampire Diaries - were both picked up for more episodes. Sad news for Mischa Barton, the rest of the cast, and producer Ashton Kutcher. So, are you disappointed to see The Beautiful Life go so soon?

TV Tonight: The Beautiful Life

The CW continues its onslaught of new shows with pretty young things in peril, tonight with the series premiere of The Beautiful Life, produced by Ashton Kutcher.

Who's the villain in this show? The big bad world of modeling. Mischa Barton plays Sonja, the runway veteran, but with a secret that's been keeping her out of the spotlight of late. Sara Paxton (who I've enjoyed in guilty pleasures like Sydney White) is Raina, the sweet and fresh 16-year-old who can't stop her journey to the top, even if it means toppling Sonja's career.

There's plenty of male eye candy too, like Midwesterner Chris, who's plucked from a family vacation in New York to do the Zoolander thing, and High School Musical's Corbin Bleu. Elle Macpherson also pops up as the agency head who runs a tight ship to round out the roster of beauty (check out the pretty pictures).

I'm hopeful that the CW can infuse some of its magic touch into The Beautiful Life, because the only example of a model drama I can think of is the short-lived '90s Models Inc. Can it be Gossip Girl on a catwalk? To see a clip from tonight's episode, just

Mischa Barton is back on the small screen as a Kate Moss type whose career has mysteriously fallen by the wayside, while Sarah Paxton is the younger model gearing up to take her place. Mischa's Life Is Beautiful Even in the Rain

Mischa Barton was still in her curlers as she walked to work on the set of The Beautiful Life in NYC on Friday. She smoked a cigarette despite the rain, but looked like she was in better spirits when the weather cleared up a bit. Earlier in the week Mischa opened up about what happened in her personal life this Summer and most of you appreciated hearing it straight from the source, as she dives back into work on her anticipated new show.

Mischa Opens Up About Her Hospitalization - Too Soon or Totally Appropriate?

Mischa Barton hasn't talked much since her dramatic hospitalization in July, but there have been plenty of rumors about what landed her in such a rough spot and how she's been doing since. Her new show The Beautiful Life premieres next month and Mischa opened up to Time Out New York about what has been going on in her personal life.

The actress says a recent botched wisdom tooth removal surgery is what put her on the downward spiral and all the stress of work and her pain coming together ended up with her briefly admitted into psychiatric care. She also described the experience as "miserable for everyone" and blames being in LA for all the attention it received. At this point, Mischa wants the focus to be on her work, but perhaps talking about all this will serve to remind everyone of what happened. Mischa Has Time For Fitness and Friends in Her Life
