Tina Fey Shares Memories of Her Skinny and Chubby Years

Happy Birthday to our fave funny lady! Tina Fey turns 42 today. We've been fans of the actress, writer, and comedienne since her early days on Saturday Night Live. Like many of us, Tina's weight has fluctuated over the course of her career, and to mark her birthday, we're sharing some of her funny quotes from juice cleanses to body image.

Before making the leap from writers room to on-camera talent, Tina followed the pragmatic Weight Watchers program to drop pounds. But that doesn't mean she hasn't dabbled in more extreme techniques to lose weight. She explained to Jimmy Fallon, "I don't really believe in those [cleanses] - your body's not like a purse. You're not supposed to turn it inside out and shake it. But I was like, 'Oh, I don't care. I just need to jump-start this.' So I tried it." After an allergic reaction caused her lips to swell, she abandoned a juice cleanse. Go figure.

These days, Tina works out with trainer when she can fit a session into her hectic schedule, and if she can't, she takes a walk. She's even become a fan of yoga and the superfood kale.

Before settling into her healthy weight, Tina experienced both sides of the weight equation and shared her memories of these phases in her book, Bossypants. The show is in the running for best ensemble performance by a cast in a comedy series, and Tina herself for outstanding performance by a female actor in a comedy series. Alec Baldwin is also up for the corresponding male honor. 30 Rock returned to TV just a few weeks ago, and there has been a lot of hilarity and fun for Tina's character, Liz Lemon, ever since. Miranda and Orlando, Rachel, Sofia, and More Party Post-Globes With InStyle

InStyle hosted another of its famous post-Golden Globes bashes at the Beverly Hilton Hotel last night! As always, the magazine gathered some of the biggest stars from TV and film. Will Arnett and Amy Poehler joked around on the party's red carpet, while Sofia Vergara prepped to celebrate Modern Family's best comedy series win. Rachel Zoe wore a dress from her own collection to mingle with friends, and Orlando Bloom threw an arm around his Dolce and Gabbana-clad wife Miranda Kerr on the way inside.

Miranda and Orlando didn't have projects in the running last night, but they had plenty to toast anyway - Orlando had a birthday Friday, and Miranda was just named a new celebrity ambassador for Qantas Airways. They had plenty of famous pals to share Moët with last night, including Kate Beckinsale, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Zooey Deschanel. Tina Fey, her husband Jeff Richmond, and their 6-year-old daughter Alice stepped out with baby Penelope Athena earlier this week for a visit to the Botanical Gardens in the Bronx. Tina, Jeff, and Alice welcomed Penelope to the family in August, and doted on the adorable little one as they pushed her around in her stroller during a warm day in NYC. It was Penelope's first public outing, but Tina was back in action just a little over a month after the baby's birth, stepping out for the Emmy Awards with friends like her fellow funny lady Amy Poehler. Tina and Amy, who were both up for awards in the best actress in a comedy category, even helped stage the cute pageant-style moment that the nominees shared before Melissa McCarthy was announced as the big winner. Meanwhile, Tina is spending some time at home with her family before 30 Rock returns to the airwaves. The comedy's sixth season will be back in January as a midseason premiere.
