The Men Keep It Classy and Classic For Golden Globes

There weren't a whole lot of bright colors for the men on the red carpet at last night's Golden Globes but if it ain't broke, there's no use in fixing it. Even without taking any chances, the boys looked great on a sunny LA day that allowed for some of them to sport their sunglasses. Tom Cruise looked fantastic as his wife was performing her last show on Broadway before immediately heading to LA to meet up with her husband for the after parties. Brad Pitt didn't leave Angelina's side while Leonardo had Kate Winslet on his arm for the photos. Some of our favorite TV stars like Jon Hamm, David Duchovny, and Kiefer Sutherland got to mingle with the big screen elite and everyone cleaned up well for the big show. Kate and the Golden Winners Celebrate in the Press Room

Kate Winslet got a kiss from her husband and director Sam Mendes as she celebrated her Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress awards at the Golden Globes. Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin goofed around with their 30 Rock costars though it was Tracy Morgan who stole the show with his acceptance speech. The Mad Men cast all stood together and many other stars that won, as well as presenters, posed and looked gorgeous in the happy press room.

The night's biggest winner was Slumdog Millionaire, which the cast, producer, director and writers humbly accepted. Lots of other celebrities took home the gold - check out the full list of winners here. Steven Spielberg was honored with the impressive Cecile B. DeMille award, where he talked about the value of having a mentor in the industry. Anyone who has Spielberg as a mentor is one lucky aspiring director and last night he joined the elite ranks of previous winners.

Al Gore Helps Kickoff Tribeca Film Festival

Robert De Niro's Tribeca Film Festival opened last night in an unconventional way. Al Gore hosted the event, which began with 9 short films about the environment in lieu of a full-length, big name movie like Spiderman-3 (which will premiere later on at Tribeca). The films are produced by SOS (Save Our Selves), which works towards raising awareness about global warming and climate change.

It's awesome that giving back and environmental awareness is becoming the hot new celebrity trend these days. Hopefully Hollywood can continue to use its fame to influence America to start getting serious about saving our planet.
