Tom Cruise wasn't the only one who skipped the red carpet last night, Fool's Gold costars Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey presented an award and stopped by the press room but didn't do the outside posing. They didn't have awards to show off, of course, but the night's big winners did. Tina Fey looked a little uncomfortable with her mini actor (so missing Alec Baldwin, boo) while Edie Falco proudly showed off her double fisting skills.

It was all about the guys at last night's LA premiere of No Country for Old Men. Thandie stood out in her colorblock dress in the midst of cuties like Casey Affleck and Olivier Martinez. Josh Brolin and Javier Bardem star in the film, which is the Coen Brothers first Western.

The past day was all about the parties along with the clothes at Fashion Week. Eva Mendes — who it's your last chance to submit interview questions for! — was having fun at a bash for La Mer, while a dramatically made up Keira Knightley held court with Anna Wintour at a Cinema Society screening of The Duchess.

Do you like looking at handsome actors in pretty suits? Then last night's Oscars must be right up your alley! Yes, it's true, the men for the most part played it safe but there's no way to complain about seeing the likes of Clooney and Dempsey at their most dapper.

Tom Cruise skipped the red carpet (boo — where was Katie?) and despite the latest controversy, he was there to support his fellow actors in the union last night at the 2008 Screen Actors Guild Awards. Tom presented the best ensemble cast to No Country For Old Men. Other big winners included Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, The Sopranos cast and Daniel Day Lewis who had the most heartfelt speech dedicating his award to Heath Ledger who he said was "unique" and "perfect" when referring to his role as Ennis in Brokeback Mountain.

Call me crazy but I didn't think Britney's performance was the worst part of the show last night. I would give that award to Sarah Silverman. Seriously, how does this woman still get hired?

Charlize Theron looked absolutely stunning at the photocall and premiere of her new movie, In the Valley of Elah at the Venice Film Vestival on Saturday. The movie is based on a true story about parents (Tommy Lee Jones, Susan Sarandon) working with a police detective (Charlize) to find their son who goes missing after coming home from serving in Iraq. It certainly sounds like an intense film with a controversial subject mattter, but the Oscar winning actress has proven that she is far more than just a gorgeous face.

Jennifer Lopez suddenly dropped out of the movie Dallas. The much hyped movie has had so many names attached to it as well as multiple directors. Now J Lo is the latest to leave and while some speculated it was due to a possible pregnancy, Page Six reports the reason is that John Travolta is basically a has-been and it sounds like J Lo is too good for the role.

Jake Gyllenhaal may join the Batman cast as the villain character Two-Face. I'd love to see him in a comic book movie.
BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN star JAKE GYLLENHAAL is being touted as Gotham City district attorney HARVEY DENT in the next BATMAN sequel, along with PAUL BETTANY, who may play the JOKER.
