TopMen and Women Celebrate Topshop Opening in the US

There was an eclectic crowd at Balthazar last night in NYC to celebrate first Topshop in the states, which opens in Manhattan tomorrow. Jay-Z - whose next project may involve Amy Winehouse - posed with Zach Braff while Taylor Momsen stood out in a hot pink skirt on the black carpet. Michelle Trachtenberg shined in her sequin dress and Emma Roberts stayed a little more covered up. Kate Moss isn't there to join in the festivities yet, but she's expected on Thursday when the store finally opens its doors.

Christmas Comes Early for Kate Moss and Topshop

Kate Moss launched yet another line for Topshop, this time her Christmas collection (check out a peek at it here), in London last night. Kate was showing off her glamorous new 'do alongside friends like Naomi, Sadie Frost and Jade Jagger. That sequins number is getting me in the mood for the impending holiday party season, but we've got to get through that day at the end of this month first. Kate's come a long way since her 90's days with Calvin Klein, but her early modeling look will always be iconic and according to Fab, that "Heroin Chic" could even make a saucy and sassy Halloween costume. Kate's Look Costs Twice as Much in the US

Yesterday Kate Moss was spotted in London spicing up her favorite gray skinny jeans with a plaid button down. Kate always has her own style as seen here by only buttoning two buttons. In other Kate-related fashion news, the Daily Mail exposed how Barneys is making a killing by overpricing the model's line for Topshop. Apparently, American shoppers are paying more than double what UK shoppers do, even after taking the exchange rate into account. Of course, Kate's not letting any controversy get to her as she spent her afternoon at a pub with her assistant and stylist, presumably spending some of that Topshop cash.

Kate Moss' Topshop Just Keeps Going

Kate Moss was looking characteristically stylish leaving the Topshop offices in London yesterday. For those of you, like me, who have yet to witness the Kate Moss Topshop creations for yourself, there is hope. She's set to have more new releases at Barneys (stateside, considering we have no Topshop just yet) throughout the year. At least it's admirable to hear that she's taking on an active role in the line she's put her name on. Also speaking of her name, she is welcoming her man to the wide world of modeling with their recent Roberto Cavalli contract. Yup, the fashion world just can't quit Kate.

Kate Still Reveling in Topshop Success

Kate Moss paid a little visit to the Topshop offices in London this week. Maybe it was to pick up a big, fat check. Her Topshop line has been quite a hit overseas and here in the states (for those who could get their hands on it). Lucky for the rest of us, Topshop has plans to open up three stores in NYC. It's about time! Hopefully Kate will put out another collection by that time as well!

Kate Moss Debuts Her Topshop Stuffs Stateside

Kate Moss' Topshop finally hit Barneys New York yesterday afternoon, which was clearly cause to celebrate for Miss Kate and her model friends at the after party. As Fab learned the hard way, the Barneys website experienced a bit of an overload yesterday -- so it looks like she's doing okay for herself as a designer already. As for the nature of the line, Kate had this to say at her party: "I don't know if it stands out. I know what I like." I guess it's lucky that a lot of people like what she likes?

Kate Moss Launches Topshop in the UK!

Kate was looking every bit the supermodel when she left her home earlier today to go promote her new collection at Topshop in London. Ms Moss was actually the mannequin in the Oxford Street store! The crowds were outrageous and apparently shoppers were only allowed to buy five items at a time (most likely to prevent them from being sold on eBay)! Kate headed out to dinner at the Dorchester in London the other night in her favorite new look - a long skirt. Kate's new Topshop line is days away so of course people are trying to point out the negative. The latest reports are that Kate is being accused of copying her favorite pieces instead of coming up with ones of her own. After checking out the comparisons it's clear that Kate was inspired by her own closet but as FabSugar wisely points out, isn't this what you want from a fashion icon turned celebrity designer?

Kate Moss is So Normal, She's Unrecognizable

We got our first glimpse of Kate's fabulous Topshop collection in British Vogue. Now, she's back in the Sunday Times Style magazine, showing off some more of her new line. Kate's life always seems dramatic, for example we recently saw Pete carrying Kate out of a medical center. In the interview she says she just cut her foot on a picture that had fallen off her wall -- and that her life isn't all that exciting after all. Here are highlights:

On her everyday life:
"I'm so normal, really," she says. "They portray me as all these crazy things, and I'm so not like that. I don't have entourages, I'm as normal as you can get....In this kind of lifestyle, I suppose. I try to be. I like to muck in. I don't like to sit around. And if I can do something myself, I'll do it."
On seeing herself every time she opens a magazine:
"It's like a joke now. Yesterday, in the pub, we were going through a Sunday magazine and playing a game of, 'Ooh, that's me! And that's me again!' Because Pete will go, 'Is that you?' about any model in a magazine. And I'm like, 'No, she's Chinese.' 'Is that you?' 'No. She's 12.' It's quite funny."

Somehow it's totally believable that Pete doesn't even recognize his girlfriend in the magazines - sometimes I even have a hard time. Besides, she's in so many these days so you never know. Anyway, let us at least hope that Pete can figure it out in real life.

Kate Moss is Coming to America!

Kate was seen working at a fashion studio in the UK the other day, but she's already got some designs the world can't wait to get their hands on! Ms Moss is about to debut her new Topshop line and lucky for us, she's planning an appearance to show off her new designs at Barneys New York on May 8th. After which, Barneys will be the only retailer carrying her Topshop collection here in the US. I wish we could just hurry up and get the fabulous Topshop here in the states but in the meantime, I guess I have another reason to head to Barneys.
