Joaquin and Gwyneth Premiere Lovers After Disastrous Letterman Interview

Gwyneth Paltrow and Joaquin Phoenix posed together on the red carpet at a Ferragamo and Cinema Society hosted screening of their new movie Two Lovers in NYC last night. Gwyn had on another daring outfit while Hilary Duff was happy to be there. Joaquin managed to suit up for the cameras including that of Casey Affleck who is still documenting Joaquin's recent career change from acting to rapping. Earlier in the evening Joaquin stopped by Letterman, though he wasn't much up for chatting. You have to see it to believe it - video after the jump - Joaquin barely answered anything Dave asked which left the talk show host in an awkward position. At one point Phoenix put his gum on the underside of Dave's desk. Joaquin has made it clear he's not messing around with his new rap career, though he might want to think about his interview strategy if he wants to be taken seriously.

Gwyneth Is the Only One Promoting Two Lovers

Gwyneth Paltrow was in Paris last night for the premiere of her movie Two Lovers. Earlier this year she screened the film at Cannes, and once again her costar Joaquin Phoenix was a no-show. He appears to be sticking to his decision to give up acting, but their director James Gray was able to step in and walk the red carpet with Gwyneth. Fashion icon Catherine Deneuve was also on hand to lend some glamour to the evening, though all eyes were probably on Gwyneth in that racy lace dress.

Gwyneth Talks Madonna, Anne and Thandie Celebrate Films

Gwyneth Paltrow and Anne Hathaway were among the stars on the red carpet at the London Film Festival tonight - check out all of PopSugar UK's coverage here. Anne was joined by her Rachel Getting Married cast mates for their screening, while Thandie Newton checked out the scene alongside her husband Ol Parker. Gwyneth Paltrow went solo to support Two Lovers at a nearby theater and opened up about Madonna's divorce. She said, "You know, she's a dear friend, and I'm supporting her in all [the] ways that I can . . . I'm just here for her. I'm just here on the other end of the phone, really . . . I speak to her a lot." It's great to see that Gwyneth is being a good pal - even if Madonna didn't take her advice about staying together for the kids.

Gwyneth Shows Off Her Two Lovers For Cannes

Gwyneth Paltrow got a little break from red carpet events after promoting Iron Man, but she was right back at it yesterday for the premiere of Two Lovers in Cannes yesterday. Her costar Joaquin Phoenix wasn't there to pose with her, but she had plenty of support from her director and other members of the cast. Diddy was also in the house - you know, since he's a big-time member of the Hollywood club these days and all. Gwyneth looked gorgeous in basic black, but she lightened things up in the evening when she went all white at the Chopard event. Today it was right back to the LBD paired with another pair of killer heels for a photocall. This is her first time at Cannes, but considering how flawless she looks, she seems like a pro already.

Joaquin Has Two Lovers But Gwyneth Only Has One

Gwyneth Paltrow has been all over the world in the past year, from the Oscars in LA to shooting her TV special in Spain with stops at her London home in between. Now she's in Manhattan filming Two Lovers with Joaquin, but we've been wondering where her off-screen man, Chris Martin, has been. While the media has turned their lack of public appearances together into rumors of a split, Gwyneth's rep has confirmed that these two are still going strong and haven't been having any problems. Apparently these two make it a priority to keep their relationship out of the limelight which is very different from Gwyneth's failed public relationships of the past. Maybe now Gwyn knows the secret to making a celebrity marriage last.

Jennifer Garner recently expressed a similar opinion about trying to keep her relationship with Ben Affleck as private as possible and we can't say we blame them. We do wish, however, that Gwyn and Chris would treat us to a public appearance every now and then, even if only once a year.

Joaquin and Gwyneth Are Two Lovers

Joaquin was back to work on Two Lovers, and this time we actually get a peek at one of the ladies. Gwyneth joined him on the set in Brooklyn yesterday, looking fresh faced and fabulous after eating her way through Spain for her upcoming PBS series with Mario Batali. These photos are definitely less aggressive than some of the others we've seen, like Joaquin throwing himself into a wall, so hopefully there are at least a few sweet love scenes to balance out the painful (and freezing side) of making this film.

Love Hurts for Joaquin

On Tuesday Joaquin was making us cringe walking around dripping wet on the set of Two Lovers. It looks like yesterday's scenes weren't much easier on Joaquin - he got to stay dry but throwing yourself into a wall doesn't seem like the most fun activity in the world. We all know how serious Joaquin gets about his roles, but hopefully he is staying safe - we would hate to see him with pneumonia or broken bones.

Joaquin Braves the Water for Two Lovers

Joaquin Phoenix looks like he took a bit of a dip while filming Two Lovers in Brooklyn yesterday afternoon. F-f-f-f-freezing. Just looking at him is making me cold, hopefully, he wrapped himself up in some blankets soon after this shot was filmed. Joaquin's two fall films We Own The Night and Reservation Road weren't smash hits at the box office, but this new project sounds pretty interesting. Two Lovers is about a man who is forced to choose between the woman his family wants him to marry and the neighbor he falls for, one of who is played by Gwyneth Paltrow. I'm sure that there will still be a fair amount of brooding, but it should be nice to see him have some real on screen romance, too.

Robert, Kristen, Taylor and the Whole New Moon Cast Hit the Red Carpet at Their Big LA Premiere!

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner were the last New Moon stars to arrive on the red carpet in LA last night, but the crowds were happy to wait for the big three! They all looked fantastic - especially Kristen in her gorgeous Oscar de la Renta and sexy hair, who stopped to talk about how happy she was to be at an event with the fans. She said she doesn't have a favorite of all the hot dresses she's worn while out promoting the movie, but fell in love with this one when she saw it. Robert greeted all the fans with a huge smile, excitedly signing autographs for as many people as he could. He flashed an adorable smile to us when they announced Kristen's arrival right behind him, though the two were spread out and didn't pose on the red carpet together. The signs all over the event were amazing, showing the dedication of the Twilight lovers some of whom camped out for days before the big event.

Jennie Garth accompanied her husband Peter Facinelli, but joked that the scene she was most excited to see was Robert Pattinson shirtless! Always the understanding partner, Peter said that he sees where she's coming from since she's seen him shirtless thousands of times. Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene hit the premiere at almost the same time, meeting up on the red carpet for some interviews - though at one point he stepped on her train, whoops! Nikki Reed and Elizabeth Reaser were excited to see each other and Dakota Fanning stood tall in her sky-high heels. Kristen happily posed with Joan Jett and Dakota after they all worked together on The Runaways. The whole cast was so excited to see so many fans out to support the movie and for it finally to be released this Friday. Robert Shakes His Fans' Hands After Holding Kristen's!

Robert Pattinson was in London this morning for a meet and greet with fans. He's back at home in England after country-hopping for the last two weeks, with a stop in Japan before heading back to the US and then France. He opened up to OK! magazine about all the attention at the event, saying, "I was kind of trapped while filming Eclipse, but there’s always ways and there’s always places where you can disappear to. . . It just involves a bit more thought and you can’t wander around willy-nilly." It's always fun to see Rob mixing and mingling with Twilight lovers, but we just can't stop thinking about yesterday's photos of him and Kristen holding hands - ICYMI, check out the can't-miss images! You guys seem to think that the PDA is a basic confirmation of their relationship, but there's sure to be lots more speculation about their status as the New Moon press tour goes forward. Meanwhile, Kristen was avoiding questions about their romance during her new interview with Entertainment Tonight - check that one out after the jump.
