Rihanna Leads the Way With Amazing Women For Glamour

Rihanna stole the show in her dramatic white dress as she and her fellow honorees took the red carpet at last night's Glamour Women of the Year celebration in NYC. Carnegie Hall was brimming with beautiful ladies from Iman to Maria Shriver and Diane von Furstenberg. Catherine Zeta-Jones stood out in blue and had Michael Douglas by her side for support. Rih was just one of a handful of women who were chosen by the magazine, but all eyes were on her - and most of you are loving the look, just the latest in her fashion metamorphosis!

Padma Lakshmi showed off her growing baby bump while one of the evening's honorees Stella McCartney smiled big with her award up on stage where she also had some trouble with her super short skirt. Amy Poehler and Michelle Obama were two of the magazine's other women of the year, though the First Lady didn't attend the event since she was with her husband President Barack Obama visiting with families at Fort Hood. The night was full of inspirational and important females who spoke and mingled, celebrating each other and Glamour's picks. Nicole, Naomi, and Jessica Are Women Dining For Women

Nicole Kidman and her pal Naomi Watts were together last night in NYC for the "Important Dinner for Women" at Cipriani's. They were joined by famous faces like Wendi Murdoch and Liya Kebede for the event, which followed a day of meetings at the UN about issues affecting women of the world. The meal was hosted by Queen Rania of Jordan, who mingled with other celebs like Jessica Alba, Naomi Campbell, and Veronica Webb. The ladies' charitable work isn't the only important event going on in the Big Apple presently - Matt Damon joined Bill Clinton at the former president's conference, where Brad Pitt is expected later today.

BET Awards Honor Michael With Help From His Music, Family and Moves

The stars gathered in LA last night for the BET Awards where they paid tribute to Michael Jackson. Joe was on the red carpet talking about how much Michael would have appreciated the outpouring of love and support and once the show started Janet took the stage on behalf of the Jackson family. She said, "My entire family wanted to be here tonight, but it was just too painful so they elected me to speak with all of you. I would just like to say that to you, Michael is an icon. To us, Michael is family, and he will forever live in all of our hearts. On behalf of my family and myself, thank you for all your love; thank you for all your support." Jamie Foxx performed "I'll Be There" and showed off his attempt at MJ moves to "Beat It." The red carpet was full of beauty highlights and other performances included Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z, but there was no question that the night belonged to Michael amid so many rumors and stories surrounding his untimely passing.

The CW Stars Are Upfront and Center

The old and new faces of the CW network worked the green carpet at the Upfronts in NYC earlier today. The Gossip Girl kids are old alumni by now - feels like just yesterday they were representing the show for the first time. As usual, they were all super stylish, and you can click here to get Leighton's look now. Among the new additions hoping to follow in their successful footsteps were Ashlee Simpson leading the cast of Melrose Place, as well as the stars of Vampire Diaries. Both shows got picked up for the Fall, but the Gossip Girl spinoff didn't quite yet. The 90210 ladies also made an appearance, gearing up for their second season of drama.

The GLAAD Awards Kick Off in NYC by Honoring Tyra

The annual series of nationwide GLAAD media award ceremonies kicked off this weekend in NYC. Vanessa Williams and her pregnant Ugly Betty costar Ana Ortiz were two of the attendees, while Tyra Banks received the Excellence in Media Award for her efforts to increase "visibility and understanding of the gay and lesbian community." T.R. Knight and Chris Noth also came out to show their support, taking the stage and looking handsome in their suits. Los Angeles and San Francisco awards are still coming up, but the Manhattan stars looked like they were enjoying the kickoff event as they smiled and mingled the night away.

JT Isn't Sure He Wants Kids But Helps Keep Them Alive

Justin Timberlake took the stage with Alicia Keys last night at the Keep a Child Alive party in NYC. JT revealed he's "not sure" if he wants children of his own but did talk about moving to Manhattan soon. He said, "It's the greatest city in the world! It's good for everything. It's good for food, there's some good fashion, there's mostly good weather except for today and it's the realest city in America." Meanwhile, current Manhattanite John Mayer gushed about how well Jen knows him before joining her for a late dinner. Chris Daughtry also performed for the glammed up Jessica Alba and the rest of the star-studded crowd as everyone came out to support the children's charity.

A Starry November Night To Keep Children Alive in NYC

Stars came out in NYC last night for a great cause at Keep A Child Alive's annual Black Ball. Alicia Keys, co-founder and global ambassador for the organization, posed with Jessica Alba who was sporting the on trend bowl bangs. Alicia was able to wrangle up some great celebrity faces to round out the red carpet like suave guys Justin Timberlake and John Mayer both of whom dressed down their ties with leather jackets. Tyra and Queen Latifah were among the other familiar faces out to help save the children for a worthwhile formal Thursday night out on the town.

Glamour's Women of the Year Honor Each Other

Glamour Magazine celebrated their 2008 Women of the Year in NYC last night bringing out the stars in black and white. The honorees included Tyra Banks, Nicole Kidman, Hillary Clinton and more. Nicole looked gorgeous in white with Keith on her arm but no little Keith-ette. Fergie performed on stage as did David Cook whose new video you are loving. While Natalie Portman and Kate Bosworth weren't the women of the night they both looked stunning on the black carpet out to celebrate some of the other ladies in the industry and around the world who made a difference this year.
