Worst Dressed at The VMAs

What a disappointing year for style at the VMAs. There were some gold themes but for the most part bad dressing was the most popular trend. Jennifer Lopez had potential with the mini dress but the head-wrap killed the look for us. Did she forget to dye her hair again and decide to avoid the pregnancy rumors? Her boots were also screaming Julia Roberts, Pretty Woman prostitute. As for Ms Minnillo, she has a hot little bod, but she sure doesn't know how to dress it. She just made our worst dressed for the Emmys and here she is again. She just can't get out of the pageant girl look. As for Paris, the girl is wearing a tu-tu - need we say more?

The 2006 VMA Awards

Besides some good performances like JT and B, the rest of the evening was pretty tame. No major shocking events unless you consider Axl Rose blessing us with his presence as newsworthy (we don't). Jack Black was great, and the Tenacious D bits were a bonus. We got a kick out of Pink winning for her Stupid Girl video and mocking her tabloid girls right in front of one of them. Lil' Kim making fun of herself was a good laugh. She sure seems excited to be back on the stage and good for her for actually wearing clothes. We hate those half naked outfits she likes to wear at events. As for the Pussycat Dolls, did they really win? They are the cheapest imitation of the Spice Girls. They do not deserve to be taking home any moon mans. Bad MTV, shame on you.

Oh, and dare we say that Fergie actually looked cute dancing it up with Little Miss Sunshine. I know, we never thought we would write a sentence with "Fergie" and "cute" in it - ever.

VMA Performances

The performances were one of the best parts of the VMAs last night. It was no Eminem event but still entertaining. We're psyched that pop is back! We could not have thought of a better way to kick off tonight's event than with JT showing off his sexy dance moves! Christina was looking lovely in red, but this time we mean her gorgeous dress. She performed her new song Hurt, which just hearing her sing gives you the chills. Beyonce was a bit of a let down. We were hoping Jay-Z would perform on stage with the B'Day girl. She danced her ass off to Ring the Bell and the dance sequence was old school like Janet's Rhythm Nation. We liked that part, especially in those coats. And finally, Shakira showed off her killer abs for Hips Don't Lie.

Fergie did some crazy performance on the red carpet for her latest single London Bridge wearing a very tight tiny pair of Burberry shorts. I can only imagine how Burberry felt about that one. To see more pics of the amazing performances, just read more

The Ladies Arrive at the VMAs

Did everyone forget to use their stylists last night? It's like they all went away for the holiday weekend leaving some of the women completely clueless. We've highlighted a few of the best, but as you can tell, even some of these choices were disappointments. Who knew we would end up being such a Christina fan? The men on the red carpet went from three piece suits to jeans and undershirts. JT, Diddy and John Legend had it going on. They came dressed to impress! As for Nick, we were a little let down. He can usually pull off casual cool, and we love that baby face, but he made no effort last night. His undershirt could have been a little nicer. I bet he went to bed wearing it when he got back to Vanessa's later. As for the Rock, he pulled off that look Nick was aiming for, even with a broken foot.

Nick and Vanessa - You Never Know What to Expect

It sounds like Nick and Vanessa may just be for real and getting serious. We saw pics of the lovebirds at Bacara last week, and now we find out the two just returned from a quick trip to Sweden. Apparently Nick is so over Jessica and he actually stays at Vanessa's NYC crib when he's in town. I guess he's there now so the question remains, will these 2 walk down the red carpet together tomorrow night at the VMAs? Doubtful since Vanessa will be working, but this is the show that's always full of cool surprises. Just like Nick says, you never know what to expect!

Jack Black To Host the VMA's

MTV has finally announced that the 2006 VMA's will be hosted by Jack Black on August 31st. "My plan is to bring the thunder," Black said in a statement. "I've got my top men working on it as we speak, in my thunder laboratory. Radio City Music Hall will never be the same." Too bad for Paris... guess her MTV moonman pics weren't a promo for her hosting duties.
