Gwyneth Paltrow got a little break from red carpet events after promoting Iron Man, but she was right back at it yesterday for the premiere of Two Lovers in Cannes yesterday. Her costar Joaquin Phoenix wasn't there to pose with her, but she had plenty of support from her director and other members of the cast. Diddy was also in the house — you know, since he's a big-time member of the Hollywood club these days and all.

Gwyneth Paltrow took a break from tending to her children's school runs to attend a private viewing of the Frieze Art Fair in London this morning. The same event brought out Sienna Miller last year, but she's off in NYC prepping for the official opening of her Broadway show. Gwyneth was joined instead by Stella McCartney and Lily Allen, who was able to avoid an awkward run-in with her Summer fling Jay Jopling.

Gwyneth Paltrow walked the red carpet yesterday at the premiere of Valentino: The Last Emperor, and later she headed to The Oak Room in NYC for an after-party with her BFF Madonna, as well as Anne Hathaway and Claire Danes. Madonna seemed to be having a great time despite news of her ex-husband Guy's possible new romance and her current boyfriend Jesus's antics in Brazil. She'll have a distraction from her romantic life once she gets to work on her upcoming greatest hits album, which is set to include a few new songs.

Some very fabulous and very lucky ladies jetted off to Rome for a full weekend of festivities celebrating Valentino's 45th Anniversary, starting off with this Friday night dinner where everyone was dressed to the nines. Other than Sarah Jessica Parker, who was dressed to blend in with my grandmother's curtains in that bolero (check out the gallery to see what I mean). But hey, SJP does what SJP wants -- braided bun included.

Even without Brad and George, the Venice Film Festival kept up the glitz, and last night the glamour got a little more gorgeous. It was a screening of Valentino: The Last Emperor that brought out all these gowns on the likes of Claire Danes on the arm of Hugh Dancy, Charlize Theron fresh from the DNC, stunning Elizabeth Hurley posing with Valentino, and Diane Kruger sadly without Josh Jackson. It's only right that a movie honoring the designer has such a marquee red carpet heating up the late Summer night in beautiful Italy.

Gwyneth Paltrow flashed a little smile on her way out of a Valentino event in NYC on Tuesday night. She and her designer pal hosted their latest party together, this time celebrating the DVD release of Valentino: the Last Emperor and selling copies to benefit charity. The disc is apparently making its way to the Paltrow-Martin family collection, as she opened up about her taste in films at the bash.

The ladies came out last night to celebrate at the premiere of Valentino: The Last Emperor at the MoMA in NYC last night. Gwyneth hit the red carpet all in black just like her mother Blythe Danner on her arm. Gwyneth looks fantastic and if she keeps aging like her mother she'll be a lucky, lucky lady.

After Friday's fancy dinner, Valentino's 45th Anniversary celebration continued on with the line's Fall 2007 Couture show. The runway show was full of luxurious gowns, but the celebs in attendance opted for more casual fare. I can't say I blame them -- it looks like it was pretty seriously sunny on the outdoor red carpet!
